So we found all the funny stuff already?

I was expecting this version to be DF2014 hilarious but oh well...

Uh... have you BEEN to a library?

Endless comedy.

"Please, can you guys stop killing each other and falling down the ramps into a big sweaty vomit soaked heap of blood and gore? I'm trying to read."

OH FINE, DON'T LAUGH AT MY STUPID JOKE ABOUT THE BUTTOCKS!
Hey I found it funny enough to sig it.

Not to mention the sealed-off libraries taunting kobold bards. ;w;

Those are just disappointing. T.T

Weirdly enough, dark fortress libraries seem to be nice and peaceful, only saw two scholars biting each other to death.

dark fortress libraries

How did you get those?  did the gobbos build them, or were they conquered sites?

I made a "smaller" world where the humans conquered most of a gobbo civ, but one dark tower ended up owned by kobolds.  No libraries outside of the Dwarf Forts, though.

I was trying to make goblins build them, haven't been able to get them to do it yet, but I found two human conquered forts with libraries so far!

Nice. X3

Meanwhile, I've murdered about half a dozen cyclopes by now. I have a few surplus waterskins for storing essences or venom, and some quires made. Once I purge the rest of the threats in my area, I might start writing a few records of my exploits.

The civ needs to value knowledge, according to Toady.

Of course on a Monster Island, you're gonna be doing all the writing. Those cyclopes aren't going to turn themselves into parchment and write of their deaths for you, after all.

Also? Hydras are adorable and harmless when they're crawling around puking. o3o

I never thought I'd ever hear the words "adorable" or "harmless" used to describe hydras, but this is DF so anything is possible.

Well, dragons are just scaly firebreathing cats, so hydras being cute? It was inevitable.

They're even cuter when you have the strength needed to break all 7 of their necks.

Now, see, when I did my Monster Island I killed all those megabeasts with a 100% mortal, vanilla dwarf. Cheater.

I'm a vanilla humie though. ;w;

What isn't vanilla is my use of making their necks snappable. That, and the crafting. Then again, my armor's only stopped one hydra attack through all this savescumming. Gargoyle shell helm, thank you so much.

Vanilla megabeasts are so wimpy, after I whacked a dragon fresh off the update and it fell over knocked out I immediately put my better materials back in.

Bloody wifi. Wrote a chronicle of the cyclops lair that mentioned a half-dozen of my kills, and can't upload the screenshot because this place's net is worse than my potatonet at home.

EDIT: HAHAHAH! One of the hydras is crawling away from me. I wasn't expecting them to still be capable of spooking.
