Went in as a "Brown recluse spider Man" who was a great singer, songwriter, and dancer.

Spawned in a little fortress, like the one's humans do, with lords and ladies, and now war-lords.

Began a nice dance, and I was doing exceptionally. But then this disgrace of a lord comes around and JOINS ME in the dance of my spider people. Makes a shameworthy performance of it, so I strangled him to death with my fuzzy leg-hand-things.

I also started with 4 shields, one in each spider leg-hand.

The civ needs to value knowledge, according to Toady.
Could that be why most libraries are in dwarven fortresses? Since dwarves value Knowledge, whereas the values of human civs are randomly generated?

It's that plus they also won't build one if there's already another nearby. Toady didn't state how far.

so I check the raws for Brown recluse spiders and they have NOFEAR... also webber which is weird considering Brown Recluse Spider people can't spin webs.
SOooooo this means one thing.
either A nothing and they get chump out like everyone else or
B Brown Recluse Spider People can Dance alone at night with the bogeymen and not get murdered.

My repeated efforts to gutshot another hydra led to disemboweling a second one with my spear. Thought I'd try to wombo-combo it too, didn't go as planned.

EDIT: Okay, who ate my image? Photobucket has been rather derpy lately.

I promised myself I would only kill hydras with heasdshots, and I killed ~15 before running into a zombie hydra. HOHBOY was that a tough fight, even with masterwork armor and weapons, superdwarven stats, and legendary skills.

I promised myself I would only kill hydras with heasdshots, and I killed ~15 before running into a zombie hydra. HOHBOY was that a tough fight, even with masterwork armor and weapons, superdwarven stats, and legendary skills.

If you can manage enough lower body hits to pulp it, that works on zeds all the same. X3

EDIT: 43 dead hydras later, peace comes to...Vomitpuke. Given the number of gutshots doled out to make said hydras harmless, that name turned out rather prophetic.

They don't spin, but I think they can shot web.
