Anyone else having more trouble with pathfinding than before? Having 3 dwarves trapped in the caverns dropped fps to 0-2 and dwarves that lose their path back seem to stop taking any orders until they can path back inside the fort. For example this miner was temporarely trapped and now ignores the command to dig a ramp straight next to him which would free him. Similarly sometimes dwarves getting trapped after constructing a wall ignore the command to deconstruct the wall and just wait until someone else comes and lets them out.

I just complained about the pathfinding thing in the "New version performance" thread. A single cat managed to bring FPS down by 30-40 frames by trying to go through a pet-locked door; unlocking it restored the rate back to normal. I noticed similar animal pathfinding problems in .40.xx but never with a performance hit of this magnitude.

Had my first death in the tavern.  Looks like a dwarf just... died while drinking?  No fight, no report, nothing.  Just... dead body in the tavern, covered in vomit.

I made him a nice coffin and that was that.

Had a few of them. It would be nice if there was some kinf of different annoucement. "Urist drank up to his death"

Is anyone else having issues getting people to store stuff in barrels/pots? My food storage keeps overflowing and causing stuff to go bad because the nimrods won't put stuff in the barrels I have lying around.
If you're making prepared meals, some stacks can get too large to fit in a container. I usually trade these with the caravan.

it's not uncommon for historical figures to have one or more monsters on their worship list

I did not even know this was possible... This game! Anyway, if they can accept deities I wonder if it's just treated as any other object of veneration and yeah, they do need to pray to them. I can imagine some overseers not wanting to grace awful creatures like that with prayer space.

What happens if some of your dwarves worship a titan/dragon/colossus, it visits your fort, and you kill it?

I haven't managed to get any civ members with nonstandard deities at my fortress yet, so I haven't been able to Science! at all on them. In previous versions, you could kill or, in the case of megabeasts, tame them with no effect on the worshipper.

In my newest world there are a handful of titan-worshippers, but only two are citizens of (different) dwarven civs and they're both mortals over 100 years old. (The non-citizens who worship a titan are a bunch of elven scholars who were present at an attack on the capitol of my current civ. Kindnesscudgels appears to have a fantastic library.)

Anyone figured out the trick to get scribes to actually copy something?

Sitting with 15 different books, 30 quires, and 20 scribes with "No job". Zero copies.

Maybe try with scrolls? plenty of blank sheets?

Have you looked in the location menu to make sure that you have not hit the desired limit of books? Do you have empty book cases?

40 empty bookcases

There is no desired limit of books is there? Desired copies are set to 5.

It just happens sometimes. Set the number of wanted copies to a mediumish number and wait a few years, it might happen. My scribe's made a copy... once? Twice? I find it happens faster if you try to stop the scholars from writing on them.

Feels kind of silly that it's much, much faster to write new books than just copy old ones.

Well, it is certainly more dwarven to make than to copy.

So are sticky crafting menus (i.e. the cursor stays on the last selected item) no longer a thing? I used to just spam a bunch of crafts on a single workshop, but that doesn't work now for items that don't have a shortcut key. If I want to make a bunch of the same item now, I have to scroll down to them each time, or use the manager. I didn't find an init option for it.

It's a known bug, but I don't know what the status of it is.  Lots of people have reported it.

Has anyone gotten their dwarfs to play instruments yet? If so, does it seem that music quality increases with instrument quality?
