[0.42.02] Retired Adventurer is (passively) hostile?
« on: December 09, 2015, 04:51:30 pm »

Hello Community

I retired my adventurer Hammerdwarf in my fortress to make him my milita commander. I checked if he's a citizen or a guest and thats what I found:

He's marked as hostile. He doesn't attack though. He's just walking around a where I retired him.
Is there a way to make him a part of my fort?

No, it's not possible yet. In fact, the whole retiring and unretiring business is buggy with visitors in your fort.

Not entirely , you should unretired the adventurer, and ask the mayor/expedition leader to petition for permanent residency. That's the only way I can think of though.

Are you sure that the retired adventurer is even a part of the fort's civ?

Do you mean to ask to be made a performer for the group? Is there another way to make him join, since my Adventurer has no talent in performing whatsoever.

Oh, I didn't know, that this was important.

edit: Okay it works now. Thanks a lot!

I already deleted the save because there was too much trouble since I timewarped (retired and reclaimed) to much, trying to get the adventurer to stay. I will check it in the next fort.

Finally my answer: The Adventurer became a citizen.
