I just modified the original post to show the status of the songs. As it stands, "The Birth of Control" will be on hold until someone volunteers their voice to sing it.
Though while we wait, here's an idea: Why not go full-authenticity and make the lyrics in the same language as the race who wrote the song? In this case, said race is Goombas. It would make the lyric-writing that much trickier, but I think it'd be worth it.

So, how completely did you interpret the in game description? Were there parts you ignored due to incongruity or was it a fairly complete interpretation?

Also you should try one with a unique scale, that would be interesting.

This is awesome.

As I said in the first post, there are a few things I omitted because they would not be feasable, such as playing the main melody on the drums. On the subject of unique scales, I can almost guarantee that it won't sound good, but I will try after I'm done with this current song and such a song comes up.

Speaking of my current song, A colleague is working on translating/composing the lyrics (in Goomba). Once that's done, does anyone want to take a crack at singing them, or should I leave it to text-to-speech?

I might try my hand at writing a program using STK to attempt to approximate the actual instruments used, especially the types of timbre and other such things.

Is there any interest in that? As it would likely be a very involved process.

Heard about this on /dfg/ and yeah, it definitely has a "medieval tavern" feel to it, awesome.

I can try to sing for it, and if you want just send me the rhythm and lyrics over PM and feel free to scrap them, my voice isn't exactly Adele level. Also, I can't sing really high, so no opera. I can go really deep though, according to my relatives
