DF gets tedious sometimes because of flaws in the player, not flaws in the game.

I throw bunch of songs onto a palylist about once a month, and then shiffle it for DF.  A lot of it's The Goo Goo Dolls and 3 Doors Down for me.

Same music I usually listen to. Mostly Black Sabbath and Disturbed (Ten Thousand Fists = the greatest album in existence), a bit of Ozzy Osbourne, and some miscellaneous classic rock and stuff.

I am assuming you guys all have dual cores. I wouldn't be prepared to sacrifice my fps for some Non-Dwarven music.

If I did have a dual core... It would have to be my Metal/Rock mix.

Sufjan Stevens. Its sorta like the officially composed music, melodic and brooding with some quite happy and upbeat songs as well.

I try not to listen to anything too fast or catchy because with my slow frame rate, it makes the dwarves seem t o m ov e  e v e n    s l o w   e    r.    .      .

Blizzard has a site for all the starcraft and diablo 2 music. Those seem to work well.

Symphony X. The latest album (Paradise Lost) is great. Maiden always works, too, 'course.
I'd really appreciate more music like the original DF soundtrack, though. Maybe with some variation in pace, when danger approaches...

Wow, I didn't know that you could download Diablo 2's music! Another classic game soundtrack added to my collection - thanks, SWVoodoo!

As for DF, I find the Lord of the Rings soundtrack most appropriate and fitting because of its fantasy setting and varied moods. Rock just doesn't fit with the game for me.
