Turn Three

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Your gramma must've been very skilled. My condolences. I don't suppose it runs in the family?"

Throw another dart.

Narbo offers his condolences and throws another dart, [15+4+2=21], which lands perfectly in the target's center. [13-2+2=13] The man stops for a moment, thinking carefully about what Narbo has just said,[3] The Fool gets the wrong idea and pulls out a small glass bottle, "Wait, YOU GONNA MAKE FUN OF GRAMMA! I'LL KILL YOU!", and charges Narbo. [7], [5][3] His 2 friends respond in kind, one of them pulls out a pocket knife and the other grabs a bottle remarkably similar to the Ape's.

Well, that could've gone better.

Coleman can't quite understand the robot's words over all the buzzing."Interest me in a what?"

The robot responds by reaffirming his statement, "Ibzzt abzztsked if yobzztu might be interbzztested in a bzzt drinkbzzt. Ibzzt've been havibzztng speakbzzter problebzztms latbzztely." Rocco is about to speak when he hears the angry man-ape shout in rage.

I stretch myself, cracking my back, then popping my neck and knuckles. Now fully stretched, I pull out a cardboard box, and write on it with... stuff. It reads:"Will work for food. Spoiled or rotten food okay. NO TALKING."

"Hmm, Well you see, I can't really read all that well, or at all, to be honest, but I'm assuming that this sign is a yes to my offer of work?

The Roach responds with a nod.

"Splendid! I just knew that you'd- Hold that thought." Daniel notices an enormous mutant exiting the Bar and excitedly hurries to speak with it.

Shortly after a one-sided conversation The Roach can't hear, he hears enraged shouting coming from the bar.

Yes... the marrow... the precious marrow... Wait, no, shit.

The voices are quieter and less insulting today, so Verminus Thrax is aware enough to notice the stares he's getting. He stands up from the bar, careful not to disturb the bendy straw going from his mask to the bottle of watered down whiskey, and begins making his way outside of the tavern, passing by the belligerent argumentative man-ape and the scrawny guy with the swords. It is time to seek out gainful employment.

Verminus Thrax walks by the drunk and the heavily armed man, out the door. Immediately after he's exited the bar an overweight man with a fancy mustache stops him to talk. "You There! Massive Brute with the Axe! Yes You, I'm a prospective merchant planning on cashing in on the Eastern Old Rush, I need Guards for my Caravan and you, why, you're magnificent, if you were at my side I wouldn't even have to worry about thieves as none would dare trifle me! Ah, But I'm getting ahead of myself, My name is Daniel Rogers, pleased to meet you, and I would like to know whether you're looking for a job!"

Verminus Thrax is about to respond when he hears angry shouting coming from the bar.

I didn't expect to have the first combat encounter so early, but fortunately for Narbo the drunks all bombed their weapon rolls.

Coleman looks somewhat concerned, but not outright scared.

"Erm, hold on."

Coleman walks towards the man-ape and his buddies, preparing his bonesaw in case he needs to use it quickly. He tries to quickly survey the situation before taking any action or committing to either side of this apparent conflict.

Also, clean underpants? Coleman takes a brief moment to consider the state the world is currently in. How are clothes washed? Is there enough water to wash them on a regular basis without having to worry about sacrificing anything important like drinking or showering?

Additionally, Coleman takes a brief search in his memory to try to figure out what he was doing earlier that day and if he knows anyone present.

EDIT: Additionally, the Roach seems to have no pants or anything covering their legs.

SECOND EDIT: Also, what generator are you using for all of this?

"Ummmm, no you won't!"

Nando begins to draw two of his swords, then reconsiders and flees the bar. You can't fight every belligerent drunkard in the wasteland.

((Is the inconsistent name spelling supposed to be intentional? Narbo/Nardo/Nando Porno/Polo's Smarts/Intellect is at 2, not 0 - I'm not sure forgetting your own name makes much sense.))

These are exciting times for Verminus Thrax. He points at himself and looks around to make sure that he is the massive brute with the axe that this mustachioed man is addressing. Wow! He must be! Just as he is about to enthusiastically accept this job offer, his mental composure is shattered by the sound of multiple people bellowing angrily from inside the bar.

The rolling jungle drum beat that constantly plays at a low volume in his head gets louder and more intense. The voices start cacophonously shrieking all at once. He drops his bottle, hefts his axe, and turns with an excited shiver to look into the bar and drink in the tactical situation.

((What inconsistent name spelling? I thought it was always Nando Porno.))

((On the character list, NAV's character has his name spelled as "Narbo Porno, I mean Polo". So that's both ambiguity and inconsistency. And I'm not sure if the latter is done on purpose.

Anyway, Debater, what generator or sheet or system are you using to determine things like the rolls, the bonuses, and the results of the bonuses?))

Turn Four

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, technically I'm hired... Follow the guy, and help with whatever he wants

The Roach stops for a moment, realizes he's got a job and follows Daniel Rogers into the jaws of death! Or, really just in front of the Bar, there's no need to be overly dramatic about it.

Coleman stops communicating with Olen Jr, grabs his Bone-saw and surveys the situation, [9+2=11], clearly the Drunks have started the fight, someone must've insulted someone's relative, beyond that Rocco has no idea. The scrawny fellow being accused sprints out of the Bar and a Drunk hurls a glass bottle at him but misses and hits the enormous Mutant walking in. The fellow is holding a Fire-Axe and his eyes are bloodshot, Oh Dear.

LORE: Most clothes are washed similarly to the way they were before modern technology, in the pioneering fashion, but there are very rare functional laundry machines. In most places there is enough water to properly wash clothing without sacrificing drinking water, but working showers are extremely hard to find and are treasured.

What Rocco was doing earlier that day: Rocco Coleman was just hiking down the Great Road when he decided to stop here at Olenberg and hit up the local Bar.

[2] Unfortunately, Rocco Coleman doesn't know anybody in town but most of the people here seem friendly enough.

"Ummmm, no you won't!"

Nando begins to draw two of his swords, then reconsiders and flees the bar. You can't fight every belligerent drunkard in the wasteland.

Nando, Nardo, Narbo whatever starts to draw two of his swords before realizing the futility of fighting the fools as there's always going to be more. Then he tries to flee the Bar to avoid being violently murdered. [13+4=17] VS [1-2=-1] Narbo sprints out of the Bar and Ape-face chucks his glass bottle at his back. If it hit it could've done serious damage but fortunately, the man was extremely drunk and the shot went about wide, [18] Nailing the axe-wielding giant walking into the Bar just as Narbo left.

CUT SLASH TEAR RIP, HAHAHAHAHAHHA! Verminus gleefully hefts his Fire-Axe and runs into the Bar just as a scrawny man with an absurd amount of swords leaves it. [5-2-4=-1] An unknown projectile flies out of the Bar and nails Verminus directly in the breadbasket before he could dodge it. [3+6+4=13] VS [8-2-2=4] Thanks to his natural constitution and Makeshift Scrap Metal Armor no damage was sustained, that, and the thrower is a terrible shot. [14+4=18][16+4=20][4+4=8] The Three drunks responsible lack the common sense to run from the human gorilla they just assaulted but one of them is thrown off by the massive axe. The Ape-Faced one speaks, "YOU THERE, FREAK, YOU GONNA TAKE UP FOR THAT NO GOOD WEASEL? I'LL KILL YOU TOO!" Another Drunk speaks, "Uh, Chuck, you sure this is good idea, I mean tha-""NOW YOU SHUT UP, COWARD AND KILL HIM!" "Uh, O-OK..." Verminus is heavily bothered by the current situation.

Anyway, Debater, what generator or sheet or system are you using to determine things like the rolls, the bonuses, and the results of the bonuses?))

I've been using random.org to determine rolls. And I've home-brewed a somewhat crude system, every stat point above 2 gives a +2 bonus to rolls that correspond with the stat and every stat point below 2 gives a -2 penalty to rolls that correspond with the stat, if two stats are used for the same action the bonuses and penalties for each are halved and combined. I apply other bonuses and penalties based on gear and situation factors. I.E: Verminus gets a penalty to dodge because of his Makeshift Scrap Metal Armor but he gets a bonus to taking damage because of his Makeshift Scrap Metal Armor. The Drunk got a penalty to throwing his bottle because he was drunk but he and his friends got a bonus to resisting fear because they were drunk. I'm sorry if I was unclear, also, I think NAV's misspelling the character name has been a running joke for a while now.

"Oh, some drunkard thinks I insulted his gramma's skill with darts so he threw a bottle at me but he missed and hit that armoured giant instead so now there's a bar fight going on. The usual."

(Can I please switch around Charisma and Intelligence stats please, since it's still really early in the game, I think it fits the character better, and we have no one with decent charisma?)

"Oh, okay." Stand guard. Keep my hand on my machete, to strike should anything seriously threaten my employer.
(By serious, I mean if I see someone purposely strike at him, and only if I can save him. If he dies or is mortally injured, I won't be trying to avenge his death or anything)
