try and "teach" it by limiting it to things that are roughly human shaped and continue refinement. Lower the strength of the snap-to-target thing for the time being while teaching then tune up the speed over time.
You can teach it like this, manually telling it if its decisions were right or wrong and tweaking parameters, but it will take a while. Geometrically the outline of a human varies greatly depending on posture and movement, so the computer is having a somewhat hard time with it.

Go for a bit of a walk to pass the time. Study the area and is inhabitants.
Make sure I am back by the time my order is due to be ready- set an alarm if need be.
The town is mostly deserted now, the other teams are doing quite a good job of removing the populace this time. There are some left, mostly store owners who didn't want to leave their business. Luckily for you, the roving bands of ARM doomsayers either skipped your pizza place or the men inside it were stubborn. Otherwise this place is rather boring; a narrow streeted shopping district of storefronts and occasionally the thin, tall homes that mark this place as a converted residential area.  The white walls and colorful signs blend together in your mind, plastic bodies in display clothing stare back facelessly from glass panes, shelves of products with red sale tags present a casual allure, but nothing stands out.

While not abandoning post, teach it the five most common firing positions until it can recognise them effectively and quickly. Then have it once it recognises a firing posture check for a weapon in the position where a gun would likely be by looking for something with lots of edge reflections (from not being rippling fabric). Then design and run through an AR course using the cars in the carpark as cover for the effectively cardboard cutout style enemies, run course and evaluate results. Don't use live ammo, use some sort of "I pointed at it so it dies thing."

Quote from: BLOPS Lead Gree to: Veteran teams Blizzard and Firestorm
Greetings. As you know, we are evacuating the universe due to the recent invasion, and a team of us is testing various new locations for humanity to live. We have found several promising universes. One in particular seems well suited to human life. there are a couple of concerns, however. The most relevant one, and one of some interest to some of you, I believe, is that Origin tech is viable there.

I would like to offer one or more of you the opportunity to visit that universe, and make use of whatever Origin tech you are familiar with (we will provide the hardware, if you do not currently retain such), in order to test it's function, and reliability. Of special interest are the side effects from Lurker infestation. I would like to determine if and how those side effects operate in that universe. If interested, please reply and explain which origin tech you are familiar with. I believe the three most prominent categories are Amps, Manipulators, and Synthflesh, but that other examples exist as well.

If you agree to the opportunity, please head to Hephaesus through the portals you have established, and a ship will deliver you to us. In the unlikely event that we get an overabundance of volunteers, I leave it to you or your superiors to decide who is able to come and who should remain. Thank you. Good luck in your ventures.

Good to know, there is nobody currently in my team who I would permit to attend due to all of my current teammates specialising in conventional weapons and some of them being highly incompetent for such a possibly dangerous mission. I would recommend Lyra if you haven't already contacted her who has semi-temporarily switched to hurricane team and will obviously have not received this communication.

Wait, did you say "shopping district"?

...Time to looooot!
Grab a shopping trolley/cart from somewhere and then tour gleefully around filling it with stuff. Mostly clothes, preferably. A wide variety. If I stumble upon an adorable-looking orange coloured toaster, obey an inexplicable urge to collect that, too.

Oh, and if there's some sort of office store, see if their power's still on and, if it is, use their equipment to print out a stack of snazzy "Surviving the end of the Universe!" flyers, detailing the current situation in layman's terms complete with a bunch of encouraging illustrations.

Be sure to park the cart/trolley somewhere away from the PPPP before it's time to go collect my order, naturally.

Ok, my question here is whats the pay off? I can't just give you aimbot, reasonable as that would be considering world tech. Kinda fucks the whole "gameplay" thing.

You loot stores that seem abandoned, smashing windows to get in. You make it through one dress shop, a shoe store and an office supply store before the cops come. You're in the middle of printing pamphlets when they shout at you to come out of the store with your hands up.

Well the point of it is to be less a straight aimbot more aim assistance as going full aimbot would likely lead to a LOT of friendly fire. Like enough that it would be unacceptable for even the HMRC. Also it would give me higher initiative against surprise attacks from the side or rear because it starts shifting me into a better position to shoot at those foes as soon as the system identifies them, rather than having to think about how to engage them.
In short it would improve con by helping aim and help whatever-stat-shooting-first-is by pointing me at the dick with the gun.

Continue improving program because apparently no refugees are coming by and my charisma is a toilet stat.

I dunno man, it's one of those things of me just giving a +1 con to you for means that you could give it to everyone and they all get +1 con and things spiral wildly out of control. Can you think of a bonus it can give without being numerical or transferable?

"Oh, bugger!"

At a glance: how many cops do there appear to be? Are they armed with decent weapons, or weak peashooters?

Either way, retreat towards the back of the store. See if there is a rear exit, otherwise hole up in a storeroom of some kind to consider my next room. Whilst berating the other teams over comms for not evacuating the area better, naturally.

That would work, so long as you don't share it.

Never mind that, seems the work of others has saved your pizza loving butt. And we'll assume you head back, find your pizzas done and waiting, and that this team is now ready to go. BECAUSE LETS GET THE HELL OUT OF HERE>
