Iverpack rushes toward Gaverstep, attempting to free her. He bites at the leg of the arachnid, but the creature doesn't release its grip, only softening it.
Wrapfur on the other hand comes to your help, biting at the leg of the weaver.

What the hell is a twilight zone? You're not sure why you even spouted that. It seems your mind is assaulted by intrusive thoughts from nowhere a lot more often here. But there's no time to think of that.
Dahak looks at his living double. What is this? Dahak isn't sure about anything here, but he thinks he could be dreaming. If he is, then what does this mean, doors and naked past living self? Some sort of very odd repressed fetish for autosexual visions and antigravitational doors and keys?

However, it seems that its VERY HARD to just not think about things in this place. Dahak's minded is filled with thoughts and visions of other things:

Dop-you slaps the back of his head :
"Just joking, I know why we are here. You accidentally triggered a summoning ritual, and something caused it to go way overboard. As if there were a hundred summoners doing the same ritual at the same time. But as you are, well, alone, you are the one who have the final word."
Doppel says about the visions :
"Dunno, maybe memories ? Or some connection through fate ? Or just trippy visions ? Or a cosmic resonance ? Bullshitting about the last one."
He comes back on the key :
"The key is just that, a key. It is the final trigger to activate the ritual, and will figuratively open a door for whatever was called to come."
The sounds behind the door stops for a moment. Doppelyou looks curiously at the door. And suddenly a calm voice comes from the door :
"The key Dahak. Open the door."

The place is calm, you spot some brown birds and a deer-like mammal in the distance.
[2] Further walking around give nothing interesting. Still more trees. You feel like you are not going anywhere, this is frustrating. At least judging from the sun position, you have been walking south. Maybe.

The river bed is rather deep, and the river is wide. The water is decently clear. Some fishes are swimming, nothing that interesting for now.
Until you sense something big moving. You even hear a deep and menacing underwater sound. Something is coming.

You suddenly turn back, and see an enormous toothed maw wide open rushing toward you. You swiftly dodge the huge maw, and get a proper look of your aggressor.
A large eel like river monster, at least five meter long. It is turning back, ready for another assault.

Eh, why not. Let's accompany Vanare for now. I get to ask some questions (like if she knows if there are some old mansions or ruins nearby) that way.
After a medium-short walk, you arrive at Vanare's home. A house made of rock bricks, surrounded by a wooden fence. The plot of land is well-tended, with a visible vegetable garden.
As you walk, you ask about ruins or old mansions nearby. She raises an eyebrow once more, and smile in snarky way.
"Mmh ? How do you know ? Are you really there by pure luck ? I will assume you are really amnesiac and know nothing of this place. There are indeed some ruins around, but they are really hard to find.
You see, there is an ancient region-wide spell over this area, that has the effect of making the ruins disappear and reappear seemingly randomly. Furthermore non magic-users get their sense of orientation completely confused. As such only curious mages, scholars or reckless hunters wander in this forest, and Eastarm forbid the creation of a settlement there."
She pumps her chest up, and puts her hands on her hips in a triumphant way :
"But as a mage myself, I am unaffected by the disorienting effect. And I already visited many ruins !"
