Monster hunter visitors?

Are they still broken? I breached two of the three cavern layers, and my tavern had about 50 or so bards and a handful of soldiers - but I've yet to see a single monster slayer.

Is there some other requirement that's needed for them? The fortress did have its fair share of fatalities (mostly due to drunken fights...), but also managed to kill two forgotten beasts.

Is there something I'm missing, or is it still just bugged?

I think its just bugged.  All of my forts have had only three types of visitors... Scholars, Performers, and Mercenaries.  Even the ones with noble titles (usually consorts) were there as performers.  When they'd go to petition, the reason would also be "entertain guests/civilians."  I've never once seen someone petition to "kill monsters/explore the caverns."  Toady also mentioned that bandits would come and hang out at your tavern.  However, if they have, they haven't been announced as bandits.

For the record, visitors can have 4 possible reasons to stay (based on disassembly analysis):
1. "eradicating monsters"
2. "entertaining citizens and visitors"
3. "soldiering"
4. "study"
