The Silkmoth [SG]
« on: March 20, 2016, 05:24:50 am »

An old, decrepit structure stands before you; its appearance being familiar and yet, foreboding. You swore to yourself you would never come back here again. But you want answers. You want to know why it is that you left the comfort of this home with irreconcilable dread.

And the reason for the death of your parents, specifically.

Something tells you this isn't going well. Something tells you you shouldn't go. Something tells you... that a little peek will solve your curiousity, and then you can go.

You don't have much willpower to fight against yourself. In front of you stands a monolithic rust-brown metal door that bars entry to the structure you once called the 'storehouse' of your own home. Your home proper is equally abandoned, but you do not feel as tense as you would when approaching this structure.

Will you afford yourself time to visit home, or is the pull of curiosity too strong for you to deny?

Something about this feels familiar for some reason.

There is no getting over with it. Your life turned to shit the moment you ran away and became a vagrant for quite a time. Then you found a job, and were informally adopted by another as a in-house worker. Still, guilt never left you, because your parents were screaming for you to get back at them while you ran away. You didn't know why-or-what they were shouting at you about, but they seemed in your memory to be imploring you to get back.

Regardless, you muster all of the damned courage you have and push the monolithic slab of an entryway forward. --

The scene is... surprisingly serene. There's a thick, musty smell everywhere, and dust bunnies the size of a conventional cotton ball snatched from its bundle. The atmosphere is thick with particles of dust. You could reminisce about the time you spent here - if you remembered anything at all during your stay in the storage room. This is eerily odd and discomforting that you do not remember a single thing about the storage.

Except for the fact that you were told to stay away.

The realization begins to hit you hard, as you piece together what could have possibly happened in the storage room -- that you forgot.

the feeling of dread comes back, and warns you not to look back. you shouldn't look back. you should go hide. like a good boy. like a good child. like a good girl. like a dog. cower.

We obey our impulses instead of thinking, like the helpless and cowardly human being we obviously are.

"deaaaaaaaaaaaar~ i think you finally GET IT!"

You pretend not to hear anything, scared out of your wits. It jumps from behind to look at you with a frighteningly charming smile.

"i missed you so, sooooo much and i won't let you get away this time♥"

You pretend not to see anything, still obviously scared out of your wits.

It looks at you with puppy dog eyes that could melt any single individual's heart down to molten fragments of mental coherence, and you feel immense dread and even greater pity. To whom, you are not even sure. In fact, you no longer are sure that you're still sane.

You realize you are looking at It squarely in Its eyes. You have lost.

"now that we're together, let's stick together~! forever...!"

Its smile is melting your psyche incredibly fast. You may have lost, but you can't help but think that someone out there, something might be able to aid you. You feel you've already done this before. A thousand times in fact. But you aren't sure. Whether or not what you think might be real, you feel that there's still a part in you that could fight.

or you could cave in.
