No way to speed it back up.
Once worldgen is over , it happens in the background .
the closest you could get to "same speed as worldgen" would be to embark in say a 1x1 embark and just let it run. Or just keep creating new adventurers/forts or retiring/unretiring (the 2 weeks that happen)

well that's a question even folks with dfhack trying to find an answer to. last time I dfhack the background worldgen from the calendar it took a good month IRL to reach 5 in-game years.
edit: basically asking for time travel here.

I think the 1x1 fort probably would work the best, and turn off the FPS limit. DF can be very speedy under the right circumstances (background worldgen happens as you play now aswell)
