TURN 8

Reginald Esquire: You crawl, and you crawl. You crawl past the guys that Abe shot, past the guy whose head was chopped off, past the bunker, and you see an enemy! Does he see you? Yes. Yes he does(2;15). You don't know how the hell he can see in this rain, or in the darkness, but he sees you. He also points you out to his buddies behind him. He pulls his gun (an MP40) and aims up and fires at you, the rounds hit an inch to your right(14;13).

Michael Mowry: You walk into the bunker, inside you see smashed furniture, the dead (or just knocked out) (Though probably dead) gunner, and a swiftly dying enemy. He looks at you, raises his pistol and shoots you right in the leg, barely missing your femoral artery (18;20). As you fall to the ground, the enemy has a change of heart. He puts the pistol in his mouth and fires. You will never unsee the splatter of brains, skull fragments, and blood on the wall.

'Abe' Tillman: You unload the Lugerzines and put the bullets into your own Gustavzine. You are only missing 8 bullets in total. You hand the gunner four belts of ammo and run out to get the rest. You see that Hiro has just decapitated an enemy. Carefully stepping over the bodies of the guys you killed, you spot the multiple boxes of ammo. You pick them up and carry them the rest of the way back to the gunner.

HiroHaru: You sneak alongside Reginald. You are so camouflaged, he can't even see you. You spot the enemies at the same time he does. The enemy also sees you, but focuses on Reginald. He only calls out Reginald's position.

Aaron Philips: You sneak up to the last guy in the evil trifecta(17;9). You put your Browning Hi-Power against his skull. "This is a Browning Hi-Power. If you move, I'll blow your head off. You will comply with my demands. Lay your weapons on the ground. SLOWLY. Then put your hands on your head and kneel." He throws his hands in the air, along with his gun (17;3). He kneels. You tie his hands with your belt.

The rain is abating. You can see further. ((Doubles sight range. All rolls return to normal.)) An enemy has surrendered and has been captured. The Enemy charge has been all but defeated. Only two remain.

Refill the water container used for cooling the machine gun with rain water. Ask the gunner what his name is. I'm Abe. Just wanted to say thanks. If it weren't for you I'd be dead. Keep up the good work okay pal? Alternate between watching our front through the gun slit and checking the connecting trench for enemies.

((Somokus is not going to be able to post until about the same time tomorrow. I'm sure he won't object to prisoner escorting, if I explain it to him. Now, I'm just waiting for High Tyrol, so I can post the next turn.))

look for first aid kit to tend to wound then if time permits check the condition of the MG

Reginald Esquire: You shoot the enemy in the gut (14;13). He shoots back, but misses so badly, he accidentally shoots himself in the leg (7;2).

Michael Mowry: You can't seem to find any first aid kits (8;20), but, you do remember the survival class from boot camp (19;2). You expertly use bits of your shirt, the Gunner's shirt, and the enemy's shirt to make a crude bandage, using some new(ish) spider webs for antibacterial and antifungal covering to clean and seal the wound.
 The MG is in working condition. The gunner is also definitely dead. Though he had managed to kill three separate enemies, he was beaten to death. His name was Fritz Klemmer.

'Abe' Tillman: You stick your arm out the gun slits and hold out a canteen. You drink the first and give the second to the gunner for the barrel of the gun. He has killed many, many enemies.
 You say to him, "I'm Abe."
"I'm Alek. Alek Klemmer."
"Just wanted to say thanks. If it weren't for you I'd be dead. Keep up the good work okay pal?"
"Sure thing, buddy. Me and my brother over there in the other bunker just signed up a month ago. Wonder how he's doing."
All of this conversation happens with you poking your head out of the door in back, through the gun slits, and out the top hatch. You see, when you go up through the hatch that Hiro and that British dude are fighting enemies. There are two of them. One ((a man of Chinese origin)) dies almost immediately, through the Brit's firing, his own blunder, and Hiro's annihilating him with the sniper. The second, a heavyset American with an LMG goes to fire in the trench and his gun has a major malfunction.

HiroHaru: You swiftly unsling your rifle and fire without properly aiming. But it doesn't matter, because you hit him in the heart (17;5). He falls over dead. The other enemy steps forward with a Type 99 light machine gun. He fires blindly into the trench. It explodes in his hands, blinding him and giving him major lacerations in his midsection (7;1).

The enemies have been defeated. Multiple minor casualties, one fatality on the defending side. The rain abates further into a light drizzle.

Quickly find a post to tie my prisoner to and knock him out. Afterwards pull out my BAR and join the charge!
