Warning before Spring update,

My updates rely on RPing rather than me as a player telling you, and I tend to not take that many pictures, but since I'm the first one to play, I'll do my best to take some decent screenshots.

Spring update some time tonight.

Journal of Ryukan, 21st Granite, In the year 83, Early Spring

This seemed like a good idea at the time I swear! But looking at this freakin FOREST, that the duche at the Office of Outpost Establishment and Maintenance (O.O.E.M.) said it was a forested area, he was off by a bit, this place is huge. I mean every 3 feet, BOOM tree. and from the looks at the hills, it looks like hat the first few layers will be nothing but clay, joy.

After ordering the miners to excavate a little section for farms, I ordered them dig down until the hit good hard rock. When they reached rock, they said it was granite, but after I turned away relieved at the news, I heard shouts of "SILVER! SILVER! WE FOUND SILVER!" After the excitement, I learned it was really galena. I had absolutely no idea what Galena was, so I consulted the Wiki scrolls and found that Galena produced both Lead and silver. That's good when we create our first military unit, probably maces or hammers.

I was heading back to the surface when I heard sounds of fighting and screaming. I rushed up the stairs and what I found was, in hindsight, the most hilarious thing I've ever witnessed.

(OOC: Well, that was certainly a very eventful week, I'll post the deaths later, but for now, I'll leave ya'll writhing in anxiety)

Dorfed:

I'll take a dwarf if that's okay. A craftsdwarf if possible, but i'll settle for anything.
I might ask to take a turn but iv'e never partaken in one of these before, so i'm not sure it wouldn't just be a waste of time, regardless i'm interested to see where this goes in the end.

Hello,

I am expressing my desire to play a turn and be "dorfed" as Glon Flargus, a bookkeeper.

I have asked for turns to play in other succession forts currently active and hope that these do not interfere with my ability to serve as a Dwarf Fortress overseer for a year (game time).

Thank you.

And add me to the dorf list too :

Whenever a tavern is made. Assign me to it as the tavern keeper, and name the tavern "The Fountain of Waters"

Let's drink some water ! :D

I'll take a turn. This will be fun. My first succession fort will model my first actual fort!

Also, I'll dwarf myself on my turn.

You'd better bring us an update by then, or you'll be drinking elf vomit instead of water.

Also, could you please let us know who you have dorf'd when your turn ends so I can update the list? This goes for all future overseers as well.

I want to be dorfed, and demand to be a Bee Keeper and be allowed to brew Mead--it's herbal tea, not alcohol!  :D

OP rules are " Dwarves cannot drink, produce, or buy alcohol. They must live on water and vomit  "

I don't think you're gonna get away this time ;)

Can we change the rules slightly ?
Is it ok if we can produce alcohol, just not drinking it ?
Then, we could export it, or more sadisticly, destroy it in front of our dwarves ?
