now I wonder if it's possible for outcasts to retire in their own home since one of the major parts you need to do is claim the site which is lock off from outsider/outcast adventurers.

"Slides across the ground, ruising the skin."

You can embark on top of an adventurer camp but that then makes you unable to work on it any further, so don't unless you're ready to forgo further adventurer working at that site.

Nice touch with bandit camps btw, "you do not have the authority to build here" bodes interesting things in the future.

What does it say when you try to build on a regular site?

"You can not build here."

Also:

istorical Figures
Sites
Artifacts
egions
nderground Regions

Looks like something similar to the "ruising the skin" thing. I saw something else too but I can't remember what now.

Observations:

* Your addition of branches saved me a fuckload of hassle, as I no longer have to manually add faked growths to trees in my main mod. Still, it's a bit weird that branches are a brand new item type BRANCH instead of just using PLANT_GROWTH.
* Carving a helve from a branch maybe should use the woodcrafting skill, not the carpentry skill. Especially since it doesn't use the workshop.
* Chests stand out as the only furniture you can craft in adventure mode, but can't place.
* Stone axes now makes me wish we could at least make stone spears. ;w;

More and more my brain is translating this release's notes to say "DF works now!"...
well the manager and work orders do anyways...
and that's pretty much Fortress mode right there it seems like?  ;D

So wait, visitors were being arrested for not doing a job they never knew about and were never told to do? Holy shit, we're soviet dwarves!

"What?  Me?  But, I'm just here drinking an ale in the tavern!"
"And theft-of-ale.  Stupid criminal, that carries a much higher penalty."
