Fredegar
[4]
Fredegar manages to steal another 40 coil from one of the guards. Attempting to steal from any of the others would have gotten him caught easily.

Abgarn
[1]
Still.... nothing happens. If anything, Abgarn feels slightly less empowered.

Ordrum Welg
[5]
Ordrum completely forgets about the floor and closes his eyes. A slight period of falling ensues. A millisecond later, when he opens his eyes, he is no longer in the attic. Instead, he has landed on a wizard's table. The wizard applauds.
"Did you just completely disregard every single rule that exists in the physical space to access the quantum attic? And then return in one piece, for that matter?

I'm impressed. What's your name?"

Derek Smith
[1]
Derek misses the first coin. He decides to try again, ten more times. Within six seconds, he is completely out of coins. They all missed, of course.

Odrum answers.
"Hello, my name is Ordrum Welg. Pleased to meet you! Honestly I have no idea how I did that. The attic makes absolutely no sense. For example, a spider I met knew that wizards made them sapient, while not knowing what magic is. If I may ask, do you know any places to look for interesting items?"

If we did, +1, but I think they either got scrambled by the tractor beam or got blown out into space.
This is a normal discussion, folks.

Fredegar
[5+1]
Fredegar sees someone attempting to leave the tavern! He pounces upon his victim in an attempt to steal from them! He obtains twenty three coil immediately!
His victim looks up. Fredegar pales, realizing his victim was a member of the royal guard.

Abgarn
[2]
This time, there is but the tiniest of fizzles. The door creaks slightly, then decides not to open and shuts again.

Ordrum Welg
[6]
"Interesting items, eh?
Well, you were just there! The attic! You want to go back there?
I'll just forego the answer that would be expected, presumably a yes, and send you back up there immediately."
Milliseconds later, Ordrum is back in the attic. The spiders have retreated to their metaphysical corner.

Ordrum shrugs, grabbing a weapon, like a single candelabra or a baseball bat, before going further into the attic.

Fredegar
[4]
Fredegar flees from the confused guard. He finds himself over near the barkeep, who simply ignores him.

Abgarn
[4]
At last, success! Abgarn focus his energy on making the door ignite. After a few seconds, the door seems to be shining. Then, it combusts. After a few seconds, the door seems to extinguish itself. It creaks open, revealing a downwards ladder behind it.

Ordrum Welg
[2]
Ordrum does not find any conveniently placed weapons. In fact, he finds that there's very little nearby.

Derek Smith
[1]
Derek attempts to get a job from the barkeep, but gets the cold shoulder. He figures out why. A guard is standing directly behind him.
"Sir, may we please have a chat?"

He goes off a bit, looking for blunt weapons.

”Yes please, I would be delighted to have a chat. Specifically, I am interested in talking about why you let sailors attempt to murder me with impunity! It’s outrageous! Don’t you know that I am Reginald, the Northern Shaman of Death?! I have never been treated so badly and I have a good mind to complain to my elected representative when I see him next – which is Thursday night, for backgammon and tea. I have travelled to many many countries and planes, and never have I received a welcome so bad as that I have received here. Goodness. It’s a wonder the inn doth not burn down in shame, you know.”

Diplomacy this eejit. He should be arresting the damn sailor.

Fredegar
[5]
Fredegar quickly climbs up a nearby support beam to the second floor. He crawls over the banister, rolling onto a table. Several coins slip off the table and hit the floor with a satisfying clink. It appears several wizards were playing a card game here, but abandoned it unexpectedly. Fredegar pockets the coins, obtaining a total of 23 more coil.

Abgarn
[4]
Abgarn descends the ladder. He finds himself in the entrance to the dungeon. Two paths branch off to him.
One leads deeper into the dungeon. It is labeled "First floor"
The second leads to what appears to be a magical elevator. An inscription is nearby; "Complete any floor and return to it at any time using this device."

Ordrum Welg
[5]
Ordrum looks for a blunt weapon. After walking for only a few meters, his foot gently brushes an object. Leaning down, he finds a mace poking out of the floorboards. Despite being seemingly submerged in the ground, it comes out easily when pulled, almost as if not impeded at all. There is no hole in the floorboards where it used to be.
A raspy voice echoes around Ordrum. "This place is special. It manifests thought and desire into reality. This may have consequences. Beware."
Ordrum has obtained a mace!

Derek Smith
[4]
"Well... yes! Yes, I should be arresting that sailor... but you don't look like a shaman of death... Can you prove i-"
Interrupting the guard, a wizard leans down from the above balcony. He calls out to Derek.
"Ho, Reginald! It has been some time, my friend! How do you, Northern Shaman of Death?"
The guard blinks several times, clearly confused. He then shrugs, and walks off grumbling. Across the tavern, it appears that the sailor has already been placed under custody.
The wizard winks at Derek, chuckling.
