The nice thing about this election is it's produced a long-lasting litmus test. If someone says they liked Bernie and Trump, then I know they are an idiot or a troll, and either way aren't worth talking to.

Not really. I would have much preferred Bernie to win, and while I hate Trump, I hate him marginally less than Clinton. Hence, while I was a Sanders supporter, I am also now a Trump "supporter."

If Herr Trump actually wins I'm going to be laughing my ass off, because you brought it on yourselves by nominating the one person he could ever stand a chance against.

But what did Hilary do that was so bad? outside... Two things that the FBI investigated and said "nothing special" and another controversy that was her being the victim of infidelity.

What makes what she did worse then Trump who has a parade of controversy surrounding him... Such as Trump University... Or Trump Towers... Or how he treats people in general... Or his lack of political experience or political education... or sexual assault lawsuits... Or the people he put in the poor house... Or his 100+ lawsuits.

Oh New York was a real turning point, just not a good one for Sanders.  It was also the first time he faced really harsh scrutiny of his plans.

If Herr Trump actually wins I'm going to be laughing my ass off, because you brought it on yourselves by nominating the one person he could ever stand a chance against.

Personally I say that the best fucking thing about this election is that it turns out we dont need people like you to make a winning coalition.  Good riddance!

But what did Hilary do that was so bad?

Killed white college male messiah.  :P

Fair amount of sarcasm, yes. Probably. Sanders lost NY, and by a fairly substantial margin.

There was media disparity in terms of air time, but tbh sanders probably benefited from it more than it hurt, especially considering how much of clinton's was negative. Thing that some folks seem to have trouble wrapping their heads around is that sanders actually wasn't a particularly amazing candidate. Policy wise he was barely different from clinton save on subjects where he would have been better off if he wasn't, and he lost ground on rhetoric with a fair chunk of the electorate. To say nothing of what his performance in the primary said about his character or competence :-\

I still regret that primary vote, frankly. Was lukewarm on sanders to begin with just because of some of his shit re: trade et al, but by the end of the primary I legit didn't want to see him as a POTUS candidate.

I'm very upset he didn't mention boobs. You lost my vote UXLZ.
justify complaining in all circumstances and to great detail

The american dream is real.  :P
I have a dream that one day Americans will be able to complain about every possible facet of life. That little white children can come together in the playground with little black children and both whine incessantly to their parents about every single topic under the sun. That one day, we will be judged not by the color of our skin, but for every possible fault, dicated only by the caprices and whims of every judgemental motherfucker in this great nation..
If they had equal media coverage and a fair playing field DNC-wise Sanders would have cruh-huh-huuuuuuussssssshed Clinton. Hillary was so favored it wasn't even funny. also maybe a bit of fraud and astroturfing but we don't acknowledge those round these parts.
I do enjoy when people not from this country claim to be experts. it's a good reminder that Americans do not have a monopoly on ignorance of the world. (for the record, I blame our very disadvantageous trade deals for this; we're losing our ignorance to Mexico and China. They are doing so well right now in the ignorance market. Lot of good, hard-working pundits out on their butts losing their ignorance-producing jobs to foreigners. Sad! I want to rebuild our home ignorance markets, and put a tariff on ignorance.)

I found your problem. Never confuse "I like this person" with "this person can/will win". It was always going to be uphill for Sanders in the best-case scenario. He's a socialist in a socialist-phobic country going against the establishment candidate without the support of any of the party due to not actually being a member of the party until his candidacy. He did well, considering.

I, too wanted Bernie to win because I actually liked his policies. I am also enough of a grown-up to tell that Hillary is more like Bernie than Trump is. But now I've gone and talked to someone who's failed the litmus.

People like eating. And if you don't, ya die. Simple as that. Everyone supports the pro-eating agenda.

Meh... I don't get much pleasure out of eating.  I only eat because of survival requirement.  Or frustration.

Basically, if I could plug myself into the wall at night instead of eating, I probably would, and would be in favor of any initiative to make this possible.  Does that make me anti-eating?

Kind of, yes. I think you're wrong about eating, though. Probably the greatest feeling in my life came from eating under the right circumstances. Being food drunk is a real thing, and it's great.

Good food, truly good food combined with decent exhaustion and hunger is practically narcotic. Most people are just very accustomed to both terrible food and never being very hungry.

Man, getting baked and making a couple of diagonally cut pb&j sammiches then eating them corner by corner and finishing with a big cold glass of milk was damn near orgasmic at times.

Credit to reddit for making a gif of this poor fellow in the memorial dinner, as he realizes Trump isn't joking.

I was a wrestler in high school.  I did the whole thing with the starvation, while working my body to exhaustion.  Except instead of heightening my value of food, I just learned to ignore hunger really well and operate at a consistent level regardless of how I'm feeling.

Could be that truly good food is the part I'm lacking.  But the one time I ate a $100 meal (at this place), I actually didn't like it.

Have you stolen any pieces of eight that were paid in ransom for an aztec emperor who was then betrayed?
