while they whisper of peace, they are rubbing their hands

The parched one created the Nethar of salt
to grain the fertile lands to halt
the hopes of mortals on the land
he turns the grasses into sand

the setting changes, but must he admit
without life there is no desolation to pit
the desert, a place like a sandy sea
will be filled with creatures never seen
