It's not the torso imho, it's her left arm bending backward. She's pear shaped, it's okay, but the arm definitely shouldn't bend like that
(also in 3/4 drawings the perspective should only compress the remote eye horizontally, while retaining its vertical size. Here the eyes look like they have different sizes ; this is a common mistake)

With that said she's adorbs

I mean, our usernames start and end with the same pair of letters. We're basicslly the same person by gibberish standards.

Also, man, I really ought to bite the bullet and actually learn how perspective work rather than trying to wing it at some point.

Not to clutter up Cinder's thread, but is there any resource you would recommend using to learn that stuff? I'm thinking I need to subject myself to those two weeks...

I made some mini tutorials in the common thread, I can make more or try to explain with a video, I don't know. Once you understand the horizon line and the vanishing points, everything start to make sense, but I don't have online ressources for it unfortunately

Well, you don't really need that to draw simple characters. The best exercise you can do is to google "muscle anatomy" pictures and use them as a reference to draw the human body and musculature a couple times, from different angles and positions. Don't focus too much on making the character appealing, but instead try to get it as accurate as you can. If you already have an understanding of how 3D volumes work in art, you will gain knowlege really fast by doing that

Just draw that from different angles and in different positions. Easy peasy

I mean, I'm a medical student so I guess maybe I should go the overkill route and memorize all the muscle groups and bones while I'm at it.

That would make your studies in art and in medecine synergize and make you the ultimate artist in short order while insurring you drown in money as soon as you leave university. Take the power that you deserve. You're the chosen one Cinder

Perspective doesn't really matter as much when drawing people. Unless you're drawing like super realistic.
