<Time Travel>
How do you prove you are doing things and get the funding?

Well, you return to a future in which you didn't travel to the past, therefore you never spent the funding, therefore you only need to get them to agree to a single package of funding, and you use that single round of funding to pay for an infinite number of missions.

So, the question is not how to get them to keep funding you, it's the pitch for initial funding: you only need to plan for a single trip to the past, since once that past problem is solved, you won't have taken the trip.

I'm not sure if this time travel even makes sense.

You pitch it specifically to a country for their benefit. Governments don't care all that much for results, after all.

Other possibilities, start a church, fund yourself by bringing information from the past for research purposes, erase people especially opposed to giving you money from the time stream.

I am still say that I had to buy The Sims 4 and experience it crushing my soul into a deep pit of depression to officially give up on the series.

A lot of people are like "I wish I never bought it" but I know me... No matter how bad the reviews were, no matter how much I learned about the game, I would have never been satisfied until it was within my own two hands.

It is a pretty terrible way for a beloved series to go out... and goodness EA seemed to just be disappointing people left and right back then.

at LEAST I wasn't a Dungeon Keeper fanboy (Thanks dungeon for killing my joy)... Because WOW did EA lift the biggest middle finger at them ever constructed.
Could you provide more info?

Dungeon Keeper 2 was still good. It's the lack of any sequels at all which is the problem. A different kettle of fish to Sims 4.

I'm assuming he was talking about the EA version of dungeon keeper where it became entirely based on microtransactions.

Ah righto, I'm reading up on that now, sounds terrible. I think I vaguely heard something about it's existence, but hadn't heard the details.

The funny thing is, you could probably get the original Dungeon Keeper to run on an Android device using DosBox. You can do that with Diablo II. Though the controls are shit.

The original DKII worked fine all the way up to windows 7 for me. (granted, with occasional CTDs). Haven't tried it on win10 yet.
But yeah, microtransactions. I vaguely recall hearing something about that. At that point it could not really be considered a big middle finger though, game expectation was already dead at that point.

The big middle finger came from Bullfrog, never delivering dk3

Speaking of DK, I have to say though that War for the Overworld is has become a pretty decent successor though. Devs of that game really worked with the community's suggestions, turning it from meh at alpha release to a really enjoyable game in it's current state.

Man is Windows 10 a pile of garbage...

Luckily unlike Windows 8 I actually have SOME ability to just cull most of the stupidity.

Though the lack of a spot to just put the programs I need to use every single day hurts. As well Microsoft Edge is FLIPPING USELESS! I had to tell the computer to immediately not use it.

... I am more surprised by how much Windows 10 steals your data... Literally everything you do in Windows 10 is recorded and sent to Microsoft and whoever it wants to sell that information to... Unless you tell it not to (and even that... might not actually fix things.)

Nevermind I also found out how to pin to start... Updating to Windows 10 was really unpleasant... But luckily after a lot of surgery it can work almost like it used to... Took about 15-30 minutes of effort.

I really hope it doesn't have any other surprises.

I've always used my own custom toolbar in the Taskbar, for frequently-used programs. Pinning sucks, I prefer links, so I know at a glance what's running and what is not.

Why not put frequently used programs on the desktop? Better yet, set a shortcut key.

I like Win 10, actually. The spying stuff is pretty underwhelming as far as I can tell. If they want to see all my weird porn or something they're welcome to it >.>

I just love settings where the humans aren't the "Bland Boring" race.

Technically the only ones that are the exception that I am aware of are
-Shadowrun: All humans have the blood of heroes giving them all supernatural amounts of luck (no one outside very specific supernatural creatures can ever be as lucky as a human)
-Unknown Sci-fi Pen and Paper RPG: The human race are the COOLEST species in the universe. They are the undisputed masters of pop culture to the extent that if a human says something is cool... well chances are it really is! The setting even leaves this vague as to whether humans really are that cool or if we are the masters of advertisement.

In all fairness I don't hate the "Humans are diplomats" or the "Humans are creative scientists". I like it. It is just refreshing to see awesome spins on humans.

In DF humans are the largest civilized creatures, making them the "big and strong" archetype.
