Permanently Injured Dwarves / Merc's

How/What do you choose what to do with them, do you still give them equipment knowing that they're going to be at a disadvantage e.g. sensory/motor nerve damaged, lost limbs etc do you offer them to Armok in hope for some fresh recruits etc?

There was a science thread a few years ago that said the best possible weapon you could give them was one or more platinum crutches, because despite the weight of the tools, they'd never get slowed down as long as their crutch-walker skill was high enough. So you basically had an Olympic team of hammerdwarves zipping around and crushing skulls with medical supplies.

Never underestimate a paralympics team. Otherwise as long as they have one valid hand your dwarf can fight.

Even without hands they can bite. I mean sure if they have motor nerve damage and can't walk they will be really slow moving along like a slug but when they finally catch up to the enemy... well they will rue the day they decided to only wear socks to a siege.

One of the dwarfs walked in front of Thor to get a better view of the prye, and Thor kicked him irritably into the middle of the flames, which made Thor feel slightly better and made all the dwarfs feel much worse.
