It doesn't even have to be dungeon-crawling again. You could make it an arena game. That's what I would have done if I ever recreated it myself, and I have considered it. Also, you may want to allow PCs to actually learn spells, not merely casting randomly. Learned spells would have cool downs to balance knowing what your spell will actually do. As for HOW spells would be learned, I would think maybe giving one to them at specified levels, and the spell would be one they've already cast.

I will definitely revive this, although things will work differently from the original. I expect to start within a week, because that's when school starts. For some reason, I have more time to run stuff during the school year than on vacation.
