The monthly dev update is now live at https://www.indiedb.com/games/king-under-the-mountain/news/december-2018-update-end-of-a-big-year showing off the features in progress that will be part of the first alpha release!

It's alive! Been a while but I'm resurrecting this thread as I'm now getting more time to focus on development than I've had in a long time, and there's been some good progress too!
