Thanks to the magic we got from the Jerendings, we can afford to put two magic into War. I say we make sure to do that; we're losing a lot of people and cattle to raids.

Let's also get some exploration done. There are plenty of treasures that can aid Carp clan out there, and we don't want to have to buy them from our enemies later.

I start out with sending a party to Kero Fin.

Don't see much reason to not just give them 10 cows worth of goods.

This made the farmers happy.

I build a ditch to slow down attackers.

Fire seasons comes round and I send some dudes to cattle raid Squat Oak.

We get attacked, and aim for survival and evasion with two magic.

We lose a weaponthane and four more get injured.

Hmm, I expected a Kero Fin event, but hey, this is good too.

Baranwolf: We should curry favor with another clan by telling them of this opportunity to harass their foes. But we must choose a clan which regards us favorably, or they will take it wrongly.
Branbrig: There is much to admire in this fellow.
Vastyr: Hire him to curse one of our enemies.
Derik: He hasn't told us exactly what he would do to our enemies. His offer is too vague.
Yorsar: Hiring foreign magicians to vex one's foes is not illegal, but I can't think of any great kings or heroes who would have done such a thing.
Inganna: He is a haughty fellow, and will be offended if we try to bargain with him.
Varmand: We have been cut off from the lands to the north for centuries. There is no telling what strange magic might be known up there.

Tell one of our allies about him. They might want to take him up on his offer, but I'm not sure we should spend that many goods unless we're swimming in them.
