I have to agree. I find it akin to looking at the ocean.
You stare at it and at first just see chaotic waves. However if you stare at it for enough time you start to see the rips and the tides. Then you start to learn that there's an order to what seemed like pure chaos. Almost humbling in a way ...

I drew a troll maiden. She's wearing a troll fur cap, troll fur dress, troll fur hood, troll fur cloak, troll fur trousers, troll fur socks (not visible), troll fur low boots, and troll fur mittens.

Like all trolls I've ever looked at in the game, she is incredibly obese, and as per the description is unshorn and has long white hair all over her body and horns and tusks. Her skin is black. Her eyes are black.

I'm finally convinced I've pinned down what DF trolls are meant to look like in game (when they show up in goblin invasions). I'm not sure if cave trolls wear clothes.

BM, that is... really good! Reminds me of some kind of mythical Balinese creature, like a Barong or similiar.

And Daemoria, I love those sketches, with your 'sci-fi' sort of take on a Dwarven Fortress. The second one is a real masterpiece, after looking at it for a while I started imagining the lit window by the dwarf to actually show sunlight, and then you're looking 'down' the fortress... Sci-fi forts laugh at gravity! :D

Lastly, if I start up doing drugs and just staring at my computer screen in a haze, I'm blaming that last picture of Ninedots's. :P Trippy stuff!
