I like the way you draw dwarven anatomy.  Most people seem to proportion them such that they would have trouble functioning.  Yours look like genuine short, sturdy people who could do anything a human could.  Stout, but still capable of touching their toes.

Damn Fault, I must admit that I'm totally digging your style. Loving your dwarves, brother.

I just looked back, and I saw two drawings by Fault that combined DF and my absolute favorite show of all time.

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann.

Could those pictures be expanded/updated?

Love your stuff, fault. I have no idea how you manage to paint so well with such solid brushstrokes.
the other stuff is awesome as well : )

I haven't done too much in the way of dwarf fortress related stuff. Mostly oils, and studies.
But I got around to touch up on the previous painting; it works better now.
I also...made a facebook header out of an old painting you might recognize.
Only took me 20 minutes to paint over the majority of the mistakes, actually.

Just wanted to say, every time I see this picture I hear poonyen's Tankard Basher in my head: http://soundcloud.com/simonswerwer/the-tankard-basher-1
And THEN I get far, far too excited about inn and tavern updates. That is one beautiful picture.

:O

I don't know how I missed the existence of this song, but it's fantastic. A nice accompaniment for the beautiful art, as well. Now I'm excited for taverns too...

Aye; poonyen did a whole bunch of songs for SoundSense (which is a thing you should try out if you haven't). They're all on that Soundcloud account as well, and they're all glorious.

Wow, that song rocks! I can really see that going along with Tofu's painting.

I've taken the liberty of uniting the two (along with the lyrics and translation for the song) for general convenience. Check it out at your discretion: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R1gF0uhHsqk&feature=plcp
