I think there is need. No one thanks me for running my games. But they keep coming back for more and that's how I know I've done good.

This is my metric too.

Sometimes I just feel like I am going into a room with energy vampires, and saying "Suck me!"

A lot of GMs do get a lot respect. The one's that choose a genre niche or two, where as I tend to roam.
I wouldn't change my voice just to garner clout. I have to be true to myself. But damn, I've made some fucking cool shit. ...Over the last 10 years(6 on Bay 12).

But I have the reputation of someone that arrived here 2 years ago. Peers can't really attach me to a genre and gauge me accordingly, I'm often interacting with different pools of players, so there's only ever going to be enthusiasm for sequels.
I'm trying to do more sequels, but I just have so many ideas.

When I was a kid, I'd make up games(like variants of tag/hide-and-seek) on the playground. At the end I'd hug each kid goodbye, you never usually saw the same kid twice. I forgot most of this, until my mom reminded me a few years back, we moved around a lot when I was a child.

I care. I want you to be happy, I want you to be excited!

But I can't see your smiles. All I know, is the nature of our interactions. I love everyone who plays my forum games.
