Dwarves suddenly opposed to life
« on: January 09, 2017, 05:22:17 pm »

Here's the deal.
DFhack cursecheck, clear.

Not in evil area

No evil things on the list

No necromancer

Dwarves who are opposed to life arent cursed

Sure it's not Beserk.

I am currently trying to comprehend what sick, mad, dwarven mind came up with the fortress name "Lancefondled", because it wasn't me.

Trippy, this guy isn't undead of any flavor? If not put this up on Mantis. It's a major bug that should help Toady track down some of the seriously broken stuff going on with sentient ethics and behavior at the moment.

It's also masterwork, going by their posts elsewhere.

How did I manage to successfully apply the lessons of The Screwtape Letters to my perceptions of big grocery stores?

Not in evil area

Have you checked every biome on your site? Note that, due to a bug, biomes above the surface can vary from the surface biome.

Or did they recently arrive on site? Migrants (and, I suspect, visitors) aren't always of the mostly-welcome living variety, especially if the world had prior player fortresses.

Then there are Masterwork mods, which have entire civilizations "opposed to life", and use transformation effects creatively (e.g. Shadow Thistle and Marsh Shrooms randomly make grazers opposed to life).
