Stick some tnt and detonators on those bodkins, and tape them to their corresponding remotes in a way that it's easy to detach them in a hurry.
Stuff those fake vests with tnt and detonators, and proudly present them to the goons.

Vincent decides to take up some medical work in the hotel infirmary. (assuming that the place is set up int he middle of nowhere therefore there's not a hospital for infinity miles, an infirmary is necessary, right?)
