crashing on world gen

Keep crashing when 'finalizing sites' in world gen, trying to go with large region, didnt changed thing in there, only set up total 250 years of gen, any solutions?

Use LAA to add MB for memory.  Generate the world in 2D graphics version of the tileset, and then switch back to Text will be Text when playing the fortress.

I'm having a similar problem and whenever I get past worldgen and use text-will-be-text (I want to use Meph's tileset but it becomes horrible without it) the tiles become just colours.

Also crashes whenever I try to resize the window.

Oh yeah I should've read through the forum first. I fixed it by using the LAA program on DwarfFortress.exe.
You should see it in utilities too.
