Japa is making a nice looking tool for comparing creature sizes called Dwarf portrait. It may help a bit.

Also, if you assume that the given volume has a form of a cuboid with sides in a ration of 1:1:2, to calculate the height of a such cuboid for a given volume you multiply the volume by  4 and take the cube root of it.

Thus 60,000 cm3 would form 1:1:2 cuboid of 62 cm (~2 feet) but of course the form very much matters. I would not see a 60,000 cm3 dwarf as only 2 feet high, but almost twice as much.

Maybe clothing is an indicator of how their bodies are shaped?
I think the size descriptions Toady added to the clothes give some idea how he imagines the relative body shapes of the different creatures. At the same time things may have changed since then, but it still guides my imaginings.
