should this game have less "fortress"?

I wonder what mode Toady will work on
Right now the fortress mode is fine but the adventure mode is lacking some polishing.
Many things were added but crazy things are happening
  • i have handed over the child rescued form dark fortress to some dude in town and... on next turn everyone in my party was trying to kill her  :'(
  • The relations between your buddies are very flat(you cant make them to betray their civilization or even make friends!)
  • you cant turn people into vampires(because they dont have to drink)

What you think about that?

I think we have 20-30 years to see how things get 'polished'. Neither mode is anywhere near satisfactory.

There's a recent interview about where Toady says he hopes for more overlap as time goes on between modes which has just started with adventurer built sites.

You can turn people into vampires by giving them a goblet with your blood. AFAIK they will drink anything if you give it to them in a goblet.

Oh and:
1) This is a bug, started happening recently
2) I'm very happy that such a pathetically fake system as "make your companions become friends", doesn't exist. The current system in which your companions talk, argue and begin to share values (or not) with each other without input from you is far more realistic.

Oh and:

I mean that time you spend talking with them actually matter to their reactions (for example the lower your relations are, the more likely they are to run away when s*** is going down).
You can turn people into vampires by giving them a goblet with your blood. AFAIK they will drink anything if you give it to them in a goblet.
Thank you for information (my dreams of leading army of elven vampire girls released from dark fortress are going to come true).
P.S. I wonder how vampires in party work(are they still bound to civilization?). 
P.P.S. Can i just steal goblet from tavern?
(sorry guys)P.P.P.S. Do any one know how to safely induce bleed to yourself without killing yourself?
EDIT: I given the goblet with vampire blood and he didn't drink it :(
EDIT2: HOLY CRAP HE DRINKED IT RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME!
EDIT3: I am such a bad person XD (i hope he will not suck me dry at night)
EDIT4: And idea for a name for that *delicious* drink? ;)

I think you can "safely" draw blood from yourself by standing to fires. Your fat will star to melt, producing bleeding. Walk away from the fire, and collect the blood pooling on the ground.

Bear in mind, I dunno if it will work for when you eventually run out of fat.

What method did you go with?

uhh fun fact with a lil set up you can scoop up any item into a cup like a corpse.
and just hand it off to someone to drink.

Soo...  I can go into adventure mode, and clean up all the tattered clothing in my fortress by making the residents drink it! :-)

I though you were suppowed to avoid fortress ghosts because they could, and I quote: "scare you to death"
Also, you wouldn't be a skeleton, your fat melts, not your muscle mass.

your not suppose to go out at night alone but, hey spider-folks necromancers could net themselves a free zombie bogeymen companion that way, on top of their fort ghost companion.

If you can use magically summoned campfires to burn fat(i bet girls would love this new fat burning method XD)
i think it will do
EDIT(meh only one this time):It very tricky to make them drink from goblet because the must equip them into hand to drink them(i must steal their pouches first)
EDIT(only one more): This is actually funny to have 3 woman spiting at you and yelling:"I hate you."(never accuse them of being night creature ever)
EDIT(nonono):I cant turn children to vampires(children don't accept gifts)(any idea how to get around this?)
EDIT:Uff i almost started to make another edit. Wait....
