"Pleasure to meet you, Caius. And as unexpected as it was for everyone to suddenly drop their weapons, I am glad things took this path. It is good to take a break from the usual routine of just fighting...Plus I think this sword belongs to my previous boss, so that is also good."

Gilbert, feeling something of a strange sort of kinship for Quetz (being a stranger in a strange land probably had a lot to do with it) approached the strange-looking woman.

: "May I be of bother? You spoke of your homeland having an empress. I do not recall any countries having such a leader. Could you tell more about where you came from?"

[GiglameshDespair]

"You are not bother, as long as I may ask you about these lands as well. You do not seem same as the others."
"My home is Textitlan, the golden city."
"It does have an Empress, yes, chosen by the gods."
"It is a harmonious place, under the rule of the Empress and her priests. We were quite surprised when strangers with such pale skin and strange hair colours came ashore from their boat."

: "I am certain that they were quite surprised as well," Gilbert said, diplomatically. "Whatever happened to those men? You see, you are the first person from this 'Textilan' I can recall even hearing about, and the rumor mill is oddly silent about the matter. The discovery of new lands should have caused quite a stir."

[GiglameshDespair]

"The strangers were surprised, yes. Most of all they seemed fascinated by gold. Little use, it is, but we have much. We sailed back with them, me and my warrior-sisters, to see this unearthly place they described. Strange peoples. Featherless serpents. And your grey metal, stronger even than bronze."

Eric made his way over to Wynne and Sea, and addressed Wynne. "Are you doing all right? Family matters can be draining."

[Sirus]

: "Ah...that is indeed most unfortunate. You have seen none of your countrymen or the explorers who visited at all? How long ago was this?"

[Twinwolf]

Wynne blinks.

"Think I'm still processin' things, truth be told. It's sorta... a lot ta take in."

"Probably have it at least tucked away by the time we leave, it won't be makin' it harder ta fight or nothin'. I do feel kinda... tired, but it don't feel right restin' here like that.

[Swordstar]

"She was telling me about her sister and how she doesn't feel different. I bet that will change though. I bet the two of you will end up being super close! It'll be great."

"Yeah, I know what you mean. Like I've been awake for a week but I can't go to sleep. It's been stressful."

At Sea's interjection, Eric turned his head to stare at her, looking bewildered. "What."

[Chevaleresse]

"Well . . . fine, I appreciate it.

I suppose it's a stretch, but now that you mention it, did this witch ever say anything about a Black Raven?" The emphasis made it clear she wasn't looking for a bird.

[Twinwolf]

"She asked me if havin' a sister feels any different than not havin' one. I don't think it does, at least not yet. She's still a stranger after all."

[GiglameshDespair]

For a moment, the white-haired woman allowed her frustation and grief to colour her words before her tone returned to the ordinary musical cadence of her accent.
"None! I have asked where I can, and left signs only fellow Textitlans would know. It has been for nothing."
"This was perhaps some weeks ago. Less than three moons."
