"I suppose it's a stretch, but now that you mention it, did this witch ever say anything about a Black Raven?"

"I do not remember any mention of a Black Raven, but Caimnhe tended to give me little information aside from local news and scholarly teachings. Is Black Raven your sister's moniker?"

[Blade Master Model 42]

"No, I meant... Yeah. If you choose to have a relationship with your sister, it'll be built on that choice. Being connected by your father isn't important." Eric closed his eyes and exhaled through his nose.

[Swordstar]

Sea blinked in confusion.

"What? She seems nice, Wynne is nice, why wouldn't they be friends? I mean... Unless one of them doesn't want to be, but... I still bet they'll be good friends."

[Blade Master Model 42]

"She threw Gilbert in jail." Eric said, immediately taking sides.

[Sirus]

Gilbert was feeling less and less suave all the time.

: "Per...perhaps they washed up on shore elsewhere! It is a large continent, after all...and if they do not know the region, they might not be able to find your signs. Surely you cannot be the only survivor."

[Swordstar]

"Well... Yeah but she probably had a reason for it! And it's not like she hurt him or anything. Just put him in jail for a bit. He was fine. And she didn't kill us when we attacked her men and killed some of them. She even helped us! I mean... it was because of Wynne, but that doesn't make it less important!"

[Twinwolf]

"Wait, slow down a sec, she did what?"

[Blade Master Model 42]

"Not the way Gilbert told it. He said he was just trying to get a spider off of her and she interpreted it as some kind of advance, and I'm inclined to believe him. Even if he had been being fresh with her, that's no reason to toss a man into a cell. Plus she abandoned one of her men when we had that scuffle back in town. She doesn't seem like a good class of person if you ask me."

[Swordstar]

Sea frowned and crossed her arms.

"You need to stop being so grumpy and learn to give people a chance. Hmmph."

[Blade Master Model 42]

"Giving someone a fair chance is admirable, but if they prove themselves to be untrustworthy or aggressive without reason, I don't see the reason to. I'm not saying no one else is allowed to associate with her, I'm just saying she seems kind of awful."

[Twinwolf]

Wynne sighs loudly.

"...Well this is certainly givin' me somethin' ta talk 'bout with her..."

[Blade Master Model 42]

"...Sorry. I'm not trying to preempt your relationship with your sister. She's probably fine, honestly. I imagine the changeover has had her under a lot of stress, considering her position."

[Twinwolf]

"Nah, it's fine. Can't deny ya yer thoughts now can I? I'm still gonna talk ta her anyway, see about figurin' my own opinion on her."

[Blade Master Model 42]

"Fair enough. You'll have to trust your own feelings, rather than buy into what someone else says." Eric folded his arms over his chest. "So, Sea, what's your take on our goal?"

[Swordstar]

"Well... The current leaders are the reason for the magic band and making this country not safe for people like me... You heard the man. They... they use mages as their tools. And Master Sybil wants to fix that. She's tried in the past through other ways I think... Maybe this is just the only way she can think of to protect people like me. People whose... whose parents give them up to keep the rest of their family safe."

She looked down at the ground on that note, not wanting to meet his eyes. It was true she had a good life overall but there was still that pain there if she dug deep enough.
