We're already looking at it. Iran bombed US and Iraqi forces, with the added threat against Israel. Israel isn't exactly known as being the most reasonable or proportionate when it comes to threats, and it's entirely possible they might just do some preemptive retaliation. Iran is backed by Russia, which means moves against them are moves against Putin.

In order for this fiasco to not go absolutely tits-up, we need a bunch of very unreasonable people to start acting extremely reasonably.
