I can only assume completely made up charges. What articles I have read didn't list specifics. Maybe you'll hear them in the video on the BBC.

Found something on The Guardian, basically, grievances against the Fabian society subverting the English constitution and the Magna Carta (as an American, I have no clue about the Fabian society) and that Sadiq Khan committed the crime of being muslim while mayor.

edit: Wiki'd it and it's a British socialist society.

Speaking of El Presidente Trump, apparently some mental health experts want to examine him.
http://www.cnn.com/2018/01/13/health/trump-mental-health-exam/index.html

This led to a terrifying thought.  If he was found to have something like alzheimer's dementia, he would end up in a nursing home.  Can you imagine the poor schlubs having to work at wherever he would be placed? Damn.

He'd probably prefer to choose to be examined by someone as neutral as possible because possible confirmation bias.

Can someone be disqualified from the presidential position for mental health reasons?

I would say not outright because Abraham Lincoln battled depression, so, mental health alone shouldn't be the only reason, and could lead to a slippery slope, so, we have to be careful there.

The thing though is that the 25th was designed in case of an extreme case like if JFK had somehow lived but stayed comatose/unresponsive, especially over a long period of time. Especially considering that it was during the height of the Cold War.

I know, though the original intent is still important. It'd have to be used very carefully though because it reads like a legalized coup, because that's pretty much what it is if it's used wrong or in a way that is political or can be claimed as political.

It's really something that you want to be very careful with the precedent for.

Anderson Cooper: "The president of the United States is tired of so many black people coming to this country"

That's a good line to open with.

At this point, I think a better question to counter the President with is,

"Are you familiar with the plaque beneath the statue of liberty? Do you know what it actually says there?"

Because, "Wretched refuse" is the poetic way to describe "People from shithole countries".

And yeah, we have openly invited them since the turn of the prior century.  Where exactly have you been all this time Mr Trump? Don't tell me, you have been hiding a Mar a lago, pretending the world is a different place from what it actually is, haven't you.

Well, For a lesson in the actual history of the US, our open door policy concerning the disadvantaged in other nations has resulted in a continual flood of ideas, talent, and culture that has enhanced our nation in every imaginable way.

Hence the plaque.
Under the statue of Liberty.

But by all means, pretend that this is not the case a little longer. It is quite amusing to watch you sputter like this.

But why settled for dirty countries, when you can get immigrants from nice clean whiter-than-white Norway?

Trump has no idea really, if you got Norwegians en masse, they'd bring their filthy Scandinavian socialist ideas with them, like demanding centralized healthcare, meanwhile, most Haitians probably aspire to merely working labor jobs. I can tell you which group would upset the political applecart more.

There is nothing wrong with immigrants from Norway (But I have to wonder why they would take more than just a few steps DOWN the quality of living slope to move *HERE*), but there is also nothing wrong with immigrants from Haiti.

Amusingly enough, I saw an argument elsewhere on the internet where someone was defending Trump, saying that we should restrict immigration to people from places like Norway.  Someone from Norway chimed in and said "No fucking thanks".

I'm fairly sure that they already don't have a huge problem immigrating here if they want. Not that I would know, being a USigan.

This is hardly the first time someone has pointed this out, or *had* to point this out.

Dennis Miller, of all people, had a rant about this back in the late 90's excoriating the GOP for its growing anti-immigrant stance, saying "If this keeps up, we might as well change the plaque on the Statue of Liberty from 'Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses' to 'Go the fuck back to Fuckitania'" (Then 9/11, and Miller lost his fucking mind.)

In response to the US army's announcment that it plans to train a Kurdish border patrol force of tens of thousands of soldiers in northern Syria, Turkey now threatens with a military invasion of Kurdish territory in northern Syria.
