Anybody who *knows* what the CIA is getting up to isn't likely to be posting here about it!

We know, but we don't know, ya know.

I remember once seeing a Russian 4chan knockoff, where one of the running threads was "Why is Putin dying/retiring/couped this week?"
Ah, 2ch wasn't it? It's kinda cursed.

So the Daily Fail is the only well-known "source" that I've found writing about this story currently circulating conservative circles, so take it with a mountain of salt.

Allegedly, there is security footage of poll workers pulling out suitcases supposedly filled with ballots in the dead of night after other poll workers and supervisors had left.

With the way things have been going, and how you can't tell from the footage what is on the stacks of paper, I'm going to assume that the story is incomplete or misleading until proven otherwise.

In what world would democrats be rigging domestic elections, I'd be more convinced if Sweaty Rudy found evidence the democrats accidentally gerrymandered a district to favor the republicans. they're perfectly happy to just rollover and let republicans get whatever they want so they can play the "look how bad things are getting here, vote blue so we can do nothing but put centrist neolib Girl BossesTM in charge and the cycle will just repeat until the republican party has become so reactionary that it's campaigning on re-enslaving black people and grinding poor people into a nutrient paste that oil executives consume for eternal life" game they've been playing for decades. Talk about massively overestimating the opposition

It's a bunk charge. We've all seen the footage from the Russian elections of the balloons being 'accidentally' placed in front of the monitoring camera, and nothing of the kind was even attempted in this case.

What we see in this case is boxes of part-tabulated votes being retrieved from where they'd been put as part of normal operations. It's the accusers who are trying to hide the context, not the accused.

So they're sifting through everything they can (including bringing the weirdos out of the woodwork who'd probably be willing to perjure themselves if they got anywhere near a courtroom, which mostly the less foolish minds ensure they don't) and snatching at anything that can be selectively reinterpretted as some form of Ocean's 11 super-plan.

Cue 'pizzagate' believers going round to the location and stamping on the floor trying to find the hidden tunnels cut up through the floor in the counting rooms so that some diminitive acrobat can do something really unnecessarily clever... But only with the Presidential votes.

Why'd they kick the other poll watchers and the press out first, though? They were there for 2 hours after they told everyone to leave (11pm-1am,) IIRC.

Someone in the comments of the article said there was a spike in Biden votes counted during that time, though that could be just a coincidence.

There was a spike in Biden votes later because most of the mail-in votes for Biden. This is because Trump told all his supporters that their votes would be stolen if they mailed in. Anything else is baselsee conspiracy

It does beggar belief that they would encourage observers to leave the room but forget to do anything to the surveillance footage.

According to the Georgia Secretary of Stateís office was aware of the late night counting and said o servers were present until counting halted.

Trump is milking this gravy train for all itís worth; he and the GOP have raised upwards of $200m since the election, and thereís still a couple of weeks before the electoral college officially votes, plus another month after that before he gets kicked out of office. Plenty of time to rack up another couple hundred mill.

As I understand it (reading accounts from all parties who were actually there) they sent Sorters home, because of the local choice to stash everything and call it a night, and various Observers (all flavours, but not an an Independent one) chose to leave. The request then came in to get the pre-sorted votes officially counted, so the agreed-upon sorted votes were unstashed and tabulated.

Observers must be allowed to observe, but are not required, nor particularly important when all the fiddly pre-processing work has already been done (where problems like clearly unscannable submissions can be argued over for intent and transfered to a replacement scannable document) and the small number that slip through still to be rejected can go into the Pending Review tray (depending upon how down to the wire it becomes, maybe).

This is supported by actual Republican officials. But of course the ORBITs call them RINOs...

That seems a little fishy. Local government decides to stop counting, the observers leave, and then they decide to start counting again?

Well there's now a PolitiFact article on it.

No-one was ordered to leave--nor was anyone forced to be there--and the ones who did leave were primarily the ones validating the outer envelopes and the ones validating the ballots themselves. The ones left were primarily the tabulators, and the ballots were in apparently standard-issue ballot boxes.

Still, leaves a bit of transparency to be desired. For future reference, there should probably be a publicly-announced, easily-accessible, and compiled written record of who enters and leaves, their affiliation, as well when and why they left or entered. Preferably with video recording as well. Observers and poll workers should presumably also be informed with recorded delivery of any sudden changes to the process, such as what Starver mentioned, as well as recorded delivery of their response.

Probably also a good idea to make the ballot boxes more unique so they don't look like suspicious suitcases.

You have people all over the country--and indeed the world--scrutinizing the election. Not everyone is familiar with how the state has set things up. So there's something that could be improved, if only so people aren't left guessing.

...bigger than the mask can block? Does he know how filtering works? If something is bigger, it is more readily blocked by the mask
