Why Am I Always Drowsy?
« on: February 09, 2017, 01:12:09 am »

I've slept on a bed, slept with a full stomach, slept outside and in, slept by a campfire... I can never seem to lose my drowsiness, now I'm even very drowsy. How can I get rid of it? It's slowed me down a lot.

Are you sure you're sleeping and not waiting? I usually sleep about 8 hours to get rid of drowsiness.

Reading his name would trigger it. Thinking of him would trigger it. No other circumstances would trigger it- it was strictly related to the concept of Bill Clinton entering the conscious mind.

Made sure I was sleeping, I sleep between fourteen hours of work and two hours of hunting meat+water.

What's your walking speed? A dwarf with 1.000 walking speed moves one tile at a cost of 9-10 ticks.

Once that drops, every tile you move costs more. Time-wise, it means everything speeds up: hunger, thirst, drowsiness.

I noticed this when holding so much stuff I was at 0.099 speed and statuses cropped up sooner than I expected.

Sometimes in older versions when I would go for a long time without sleeping I'd get stuck drowsy, no matter how much rest I got afterwards. Could be a bug.

I slept for four days from dawn to... dawn. Only taking five minutes to eat and drink till I vomited each day, then continued to sleep in my puke. But it was worthit, for I am no longer drowsy. Now to go jump in a river, to wash this vomit off. Being covered in month old blood, sweat, and tears is fine, but four day old vomit's worse than an elf.

Yes, but tired and drowsy are not the same thing in DF.
