The Merchant's Guild is the largest of the Four Guilds of Duria, therefore such a marriage wouldn't bring you any shame at all.

A) Fine, this could potentially bring us closer with the Guild and maybe even provide some valuable connections with its members.
B) Nah, a bride form one of the Durian noble families would be much more preferable than one from a mere merchant's family.

You decide to take Zira as your wife!

Next week you marry the girl in a standard Sahk ceremony; you kill a goat, your wife cuts its belly open, and then together, for the first time ever, you roast its innards before consuming them before the Statue of Sahk, and then everyone partakes in the grand feast of various roasted and fried and cooked meats and vegetable dishes.

Zira is the woman of natural Durian beauty; peachy skin, thick hips and large breasts. Truly a beauty one cannot complain about.

520 DC, Winter

The King of the Nestel Archipelago demands the return of Toldya island!

Toldya island is the largest and closest of the Nestel islands, just a day of sailing away from the Durian shores, and was captured by the Durian forces thirty or so years ago. Since then, the Nestel Kings oftne send trade offers, demands or just plain good ol' invasion forces in hopes of taking it back (they haven't succeeded so far).

Nestel is a very profitable island to have, with fertile meadows in the north and ore-bearing rocks in its south, and Merchant's guild currently gets lots of profits from it.

A) It's ours! Shoo away with him!
B) Make it a trade offer and I juuuust might consider it.
C) Let's make peace, not war, and give it away back to its original owners.
