I wrote this a while back, but I don't think I ever linked it here.  If I did, I wasn't able to find it with a quick search for some reason.  I put it on Fanfiction.net the other day.

A young woman from the Worm universe triggers with the power to summon Dwarves from a saved Dwarf Fortress game. She finds herself pitted against the S9, a group of superpowered murderhobos who really are as dangerous and sick as the stories say they are. Can Overseer Shayla survive the siege and preserve her fortress from these invaders?

Though I can't see why

Scion would be so afraid of Overseer. All he would have to do is stay off of Overseer's territory and spam Golden Doom Beams from a distance. Also, it's rather lucky that both of Overseer's parents survived the Golden Morning.

Also, I detected approximately zero Cauldron involvement in the story. Odd?

Points for originality: it's the first dwarf fortress crossover I've seen. Points for good grammar, which so many fanfic authors lack. And points for awesomeness.

Scion wasn't afraid of her, she was simply a single human target that he never got around to.  As you say, he could simply nuke her from orbit, just to be sure.

Once she decided to be alone, there was nobody but Scion that could force entry.  Contessa might have figured out a way to make her open up and let people in, but neither Shayla nor her dwarves could leave the area of the fortress.
