That's pretty cool. I played it ~a month ago and it was still a little raw (which I could have forgiven) and kept crashing (once the map/population/item count/or whatever got large this would happen every half hour and made the game unplayable for me) I guess I'll try it again on the weekend.

Looks fun, but kind of disappointing that the Dev has declared it finished and no more updates.

It's basically up to the modders to finish the game.

Another reason to be grateful for Toady, I guess.

Its pretty complete isn't it?  I mean, I remember playing it like a year and a half ago and it felt mostly complete then.

According to steam reviews it's a complete game but no where near what people was expecting in terms of features and polish. Basically, just another Early Access game declared complete with Early Adopters and backers left with a finished game and an idea of "what could have been".

Well, that still makes it better than DF-9, it sounds like. Not everything ends up great :|

This is an old thread, but I've been playing Gnomoria past month.

It has a workshop with mods, not that many but some good ones I guess. It isn't most popular game.

But I've been having a lot of fun with it, and my best friend really enjoys it. We both agree (both our opinion of course), its WAY better for us than Towns (when they nerfed digging and building mechanics, we both were very disappointed) and the updates were pretty good in Gnomoria. Early on the game was really lackluster. Even if it was abandoned and left unfinished, its still a lot of fun for us and vastly better than when it first appeared on steam. A very niche game that doesn't see many players though, but hey, we like it.
