"Just to confirm, the moment any of them show a badge, those viewing the badge will see that they are not. . . are teenagers?" Shef wasn't certain he'd caught that quite right.

"You will all look like adult civilians from the start. Showing a badge will make people think you're a police officer."

"...ohhhh, okay." Well, she supposed that that took away her most major worries about the whole thing. "I guess the only thing I'll have to worry about is acting like a stern adult authority figure ha ha ha haaaa... but, um, it'll- it'll probably be fine. They'll probably just think I'm a rookie on the force! Shef can be the grizzled veteran, Yuki can be the eccentric cop who's just that good at their job, eheh, we're practically a whole cop show."

Faith cleared her throat. "But, um, silliness aside - are we going to get to choose our disguises or have they already been picked? I'm kind of curious what I'll look like."

"Oh? I'm curious too, whether these will be specific appearances, rather than just. . .the usual." By 'the usual', Shef meant the effect which prevented mundane folks from properly comprehending whatever events were unfolding around them. There'd probably be slight differences in how they needed to use this cover depending on whether it was just the creation of a sense of certainty in the onlooker that they were definitely police officers, or if they would have tailored disguise appearances, or some combination of the two.

"Cover and illusions, you'll have some leeway and customizing your appearances for this. The cover will be doing most of the heavy lifting against civilians, we could use a stronger one instead of an illusion, but illusions can help hide small actions. Useful for sleight of hand."

"Ah, I see."

". . . how much leeway? Probably not enough to disguise myself as, Minato, correct?" It'd probably need to still be an appearance that fit the idea of cop.

Everyone
Strobing lights and reverberating bass filter from ELYSIUM's entrance, a taste of the revelry within, ebbing away to the normality of the world outside, its drunken raucousness and nicotine scents barely masking the reek of alcohol and vomit.

You know from the floor plans that the entrance is relatively narrow relative to the rest of the club, a natural bottleneck that makes it easy for the bouncers to control, and an absolute death trap in the event of a shootout. Emergency exits are located to the back into a loading zone though when it comes down to it in the event of a hot extract best bet is probably to just portal or smash through a wall lest they've covered that exit too.

Pressed against the left wall of the club, the entrance feeds in facing the DJ booth and screen of the expansive dance floor with a bar directly in front of the entrance along the back wall and booths on the far right side wall along with the stairs that go into the upstairs terraces where the VIP booths and your target lies.

VIP booths are by booking only and you all have a booking, so that should be accessed easily enough.

Shef and Minato, you two spot something else too, something across the street - a group of hooded hooligans loitering in an alleyway.

Hunters, your intuition says. Few eyes would linger their way normally and the alcoves give acceptable cover. More to the point they're in perfect position to fire straight through the entrance and into the club. They're watching. Not you specifically, just everyone in general, cycling their glances so they don't really look like they're looking, though they most certainly are. Go in together they'll know you're all together, for however much or however little that's worth.

It wasn't so much that he made a habit of glancing down alleys, as that be made a habit of checking vantage points that oversaw entryways. Except, now that Shef considered it, this tended to involve a lot of looking down alleyways. So maybe he did make a habit of it.

"We should probably split up. Front entrance is being watched, they'll know we're together." Groups of two would be fine, if necessary, but more than two and Shef was pretty certain that it would severely restrict their already delicate timing. I.e. if someone blew their cover, everyone in the group would have their cover blown.

"Gonna go in the main way myself. Any of you want to try the rear?"Things wouldn't fall apart quickly, but if their intel was bad or things went sour quickly, he was most confident in his ability to keep himself and others safe in the entryway choke point.

Noriko nodded, then pulled out her phone. "I'll wait around for a sec, then head to the back. I might be able to find something."

Faith couldn't help but wrinkle her nose at just the smell of the place, from outside. Faith had never been an exceptionally social person, her ill-fated attempts to pretend otherwise when she first arrived otherwise, and though she was. . . maybe prone to over-indulging sometimes, it was in food, and alone, not in getting hammered and throwing up in a dance floor. Eugh.

Still, it was the mission. Though the stipulation that she should keep her disguised profile similar to her own was... annoying, she'd decided that she could live with that, and had disguised herself as a fairly generic full-Asian girl, black hair and brown eyes, something that wouldn't attract a lot of attention. She'd also disguised herself as someone in her early to mid twenties - totally believable in a club like this with fairly normal clothing, and she didn't think she could pretend to be someone older than that.

"Uh, guess I'll head in through the back then, though it's gonna be well before Noriko does, I think." Faith considered for a moment if Yuki should really be making her entrance solo... but... well, it would probably be fine. If something happened, surely Faith could just respond when already in the club, somehow.

"Alright. You'll need covers. . .for your covers." Shef felt like he could have worded that better. "Back entrance is gonna be busy at this time, but not necessarily enough for you to just run in without being asked questions." It was a good thing that they'd thought about this before getting in the line.

"Each of you, pick someone, an employee to replace. Gotta be someone going on break, can't risk using any magic near the entrance." He followed this up with, "Winter, Enn, can we get a van over here or something?" Hopefully they would be clear on his intentions. After all, he had gone through them for his acquisitions for the mission.

Faith fell silent for a moment. "Is- I- uh- I uh- I think that if the plan's going to involve just straight-up kidnapping people, I'm, uh- I'm just going to go in the front."

"It would be for a very short time. They wouldn't be hurt or ransomed. It's just getting extra routes into the building for better coverage. Are you certain?" Shef himself would not volunteer to take the back route, due to the utility of having him near the front by the confirmed enemies if things immediately went south.
