Saddest thing ever

Like many people, I keep a couple of dogs chained up at the gate to deter thieves. One such dog had suffered a spinal injury in a previous attack and so couldn't run very fast, but I couldn't bring myself to butcher her because she was a mother. When she stopped a kobold he responded by killing her and running away. Then this happened:

I've noticed that your entrance is 7 tiles wide... You'll have another drama to be sad of when the ceiling will decide to collapse at that place.  :p

A very sad story who's going to protect the pups now!!!

Also on a side note what tileset are you using Blaidd_Dwrg and if possible could you give simple instructions on how to set it up.

Hope this is ok.

The set is called Guybrush 16 x 16. Installer located here and forum thread about the installer here.

If you prefer to install it manually the raw images and instructions are on the Wiki.

Saddest thing I had was a baby crawling around, surrounded by corpses after my first siege, having lost both parents to the goblins.
Poor thing was hungry, thirsty and completely miserable, and somehow no-one cared for it.  :(

A dwarf's unfailing capacity to believe what he prefers to be true rather than what the evidence shows to be likely and possible has always astounded me. We long for a caring Fortress which will save us from our childish mistakes, and in the face of mountains of evidence to the contrary we will pin all our hopes on the slimmest of doubts. Gold has not been proven not to exist, therefore it must exist.

The new cave-ins are incomplete, at some point Toady is going to fix them and make it more realistic.  So at some point after the update (probably not the next one), your fort is going to collapse.  Now that would be the fun- I mean saddest thing ever. So many dwarven lives lost because the laws of physics changed suddenly.

Code: [Select]

g  <-  This is a goblin mason
g  <-  This is a gremlin covered in white paint

Does everyone understand the difference now?
