Altering playable animal people races
« on: May 09, 2017, 11:33:58 pm »

So I recently went through the trouble of creating a new world, building a fortress, making a metal industry and training my metal smith up to max so I could custom build some armor for a tiger man, only to discover that tiger men are not playable in my world. Is there a way to change this via DFHack or by editing the Rae's? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

1. Go into your data folder and open up your save.
2. Go into region1 and open up its raws, from there navigate it just like the standard raws folder.
3. Find creatures_large_tropical.txt and add [OUTSIDER_CONTROLLABLE] to Tiger men.
4. If you did it right, you can now pick Tiger men as outsiders.

Thanks so much, it worked! My Tiger Man adventurer is now up and running with some steel gear, wreaking havok on the local beasts and gobbos thanks to you.
