The mission is almost over-one final push and they would finally have some food in their bellies and some coin in their pocket. All that stood in their way was a couple of fragile Mordos with pointy sticks. Re-energized by this promise, Brock ran toward away from one of the few remaining targets. His hatchet, however, went the other direction.

The battle was winding down. Liam almost felt like himself again, like they could succeed, and live to fight another day. Perhaps he had been spurred on by Kaldach's display of skill in dodging the blows targeted towards him.

But it wasn't over just yet.

They were so close to getting this over with. Farra, however, was too close to the archer that shot at her other allies. Pharah Farra backed up to 6,12 and took another shot Just don't miss. Just don't miss.

So close - if they could bring down the remaining enemies, then the carts would need to surrender (probably due to a lack of support - they can hardly drive off if they were to just walk after them and wait for the horses to tire). Focus.

If Farra hits, 4,10. Wait for performance, then 6-8 to murder soldier a

If Farra misses, 7-14 then murder archer.

If Farra hits, Sam goes to (5,10) and performs for Esther!

If Farra misses however, Sam still goes to (5,10) but performs Brock instead.

If danced: Brock says a haiku, moves to 6-8, and turns the last remaining enemy into a modern art piece.

The last of the enemies fall, but the carts don't stop. Acting quickly, Roux and Liam mount their horses. Being more maneuverable than the carts, they're able to cut them off before they can reach the main road. Soon, the five soldiers driving the wagon are bound and bunched together before the group.

Sharne slowly pushed herself to her feet, placing some desert herbs into her wound as she did. Quickly pulling out a few scraps of cloth, she wrapped them around the wound and tied them off quickly. Glancing around, she moved over towards Esther, glancing at the body at her feet. Handing over the herbs in her hand, she gestured.

"Here. Use this on your wounds. I am ashamed that I let you get hurt like that, so this is the least I can do."

Martyn gave a deep sigh,  tucking his blade away as one of the others finally bound the last of the drivers.  Somehow, despite the desperation towards the end, they'd managed to do it.  With the guards dead, the wagons had been taken.  All of them, in fact.  And the taxes that would have gone to Mordo were now firmly in the hands of the citizens, where they belonged.

The revolutionary sniffed the air, pulling himself into the back of the nearest of the wagons.  He eyed the crates thoughtfully, for a time, before noticing one with the markings he'd sought.  Nodding to himself, he kicked it open.

A few seconds later, he was sitting down on another crate, working open a bottle with his knife.

"Talia white.  Not my personal favorite, but then again, it's been ages since I've had a glass of wine.  But it's sweet, and appropriate at a time like this."

He poured out a few cups, gesturing to the others to take them.  One eye was still on the soldiers, of course.  But he was smiling.

"Here.  Once you've healed enough to drink.  To victory, to the liberation of our homeland, and to the death of her enemies."

He downed his own cup, then set it and the bottle aside.  One cup was more than enough, for him.  And while the others were celebrating, or tending their wounds... He had the wagons to search, and an inventory to take.

Kaldach circled impatiently around the captive soldiers like a wolf held back from its meal, makeshift sword still drawn and awaiting everyone else's recovery. He glared at Martyn for a brief second.
: "Bit early for that, if you ask me. We've still got to get these to the rendezvous."

...That last hit should have killed him. Did I hesitate just because he was unarmed? No, I must have just screwed up a little. The drums were distracting me.

Brock wipes his hatchet off on the grass before walking over to Martyn.

"Thats one way to dull the pain. We got anything stronger? Wine's a bit fancy for my tastes."

"We have been starving long enough. Best enjoy the little things before Mordo kills us all."

Martyn didn't seem particularly daunted by Kaldach's glare, basking as he was in the joy of victory--for the first time, in a long time--over Mordo.  But he did glance over at him, inclining his head.

"True enough.  Save the drink for later, if you like."

"But you're forgetting something, too."

He gestured over towards the prisoners.

"They need to be dealt with first.  Before we move to the rendezvous."

That said, he turns his head towards Brock for a moment, then gestures at the collection of chests, crates, and the occasional barrel.

"I'll need to take an inventory, first.  I'll see what I can find before we get moving, but a full inventory might have to wait until we've moved."
