Sam did her best to hide her shock at Martyn's appearance and focus on the task at hand instead.

"I don't have an eye for tactics, but I agree that splitting up would be foolish."

She glanced at everyone else at the table, looking for someone able to cut down a tree. Her eyes stopped on Brock, as she thought she saw him carrying an axe before.

"Brock, was it? I suppose that if we're using a tree to block the road, that's mostly your job."

"Nobody said anything about splitting up, so I think there has been plenty of agreement against it for now."

"Brock, was it? I suppose that if we're using a tree to block the road, that's mostly your job."

"I can handle that. Just save some of Mordo's minions for me. I want to cut down one for each meal I missed"

Farra chuckled slightly, although it wasn't because she thought the matter funny; it was closer to determination.

"Alright, then. Though, you may want to direct that point at some of the others. Swords and axes are much better than arrows at killing lots at once".

Farra quickly adjusted the quiver hanging around her waist, making sure that no arrows fell out on the way here.

"Y'all better get moving. There's a couple mounts in the stable, so you'll have to ride two to a horse, but so long as you don't try to fight that way, you should be fine. Keep your horses out of the ambush too, or you'll be spotted easier."

Kaldach, dusting himself off and clutching the heavy oak sword beside him, stood and approached the exit out of the cellar.
: "Don't have to tell me twice. Let's go."

"Perhaps I should ride with you, Roux. It would seem prudent; you are after all my bodyguard and it seems convenient."

Esther quickly attaches herself to Sharne. This was probably not even slightly surprising to the desert woman.

"I guess we're gonna have to ride together then. I'll just have to wrap my arms around you so I don't fall off, I suppose~" Esther says. Definitely no ulterior motive there. Yep.

Of course, Twin is neither man nor woman but an unholy eldritch abomination like every other Bay12er. The difference is they hide it better.

Sharne quietly sighed and shook her head at the other woman.

"I suppose it makes the most sense. Your enjoyment of this thing is not the goal though. It is simply to get there. So behave."

Farra let those closer to the exit get up before she made her way there.

"I'm ready when everyone else is. Someone can ride with me."

"I can't help it if I'm not so steady on horses and need a bit of help~" Esther says. Then she puts away the flirty-mode, more serious.

"When we actually begin the mission I'll keep it professional, alright? I do know how dangerous these things are."

Liam stood up and headed towards the stairs as well.

"You ought to take your pick quick then, Brock, before you get saddled with me. We'll kill a horse between us."
