in arena mode the creature can wear metal gauntlet and other armor just fine, but when i try in adventure mode by modding craftable metal armor in carpenter workshop, it not wear it, nor the craft from fortress mode, even after i drop all equipment including clothes and backpack and left with gauntlet its still not wearable, my creature entity also in common type for gauntlet, also so far as i check it dont say the gauntlet is to small or to large.
other armor seems fine though i can wear other part just fine only metal gauntlet, is this a bug? im pretty sure my mod working fine since arena mode can wear it and i can craft it, so im pretty sure its not the layer permit issue.

Handwear is set to be right or left, a thing that can't be modded. Your crafted gauntlet doesn't have a right or left.

actually it have describe right and left hand even though it mostly craft with the right hand part when picked up, but even when i take the right and left hand gauntlet it still not let me wear it.
