Jumping Up Z Levels
« on: March 19, 2017, 05:00:37 pm »

The distance you jump should shorten but allow you to jump up z levels. So if you hit "j" and then "<" the distance should just get shorter. Just so height scales with distance. This would let you jump up walls. Being able to jump like 2 or 3 z levels up could be awesome for adventure mode

Currently, any walls that cannot be climbed are too high to realistically jump to, anyway.
That said, being able to mod creatures to be great jumpers (and great landers) would definitely be useful.

I think one of the main issues with this is that pathfinding that allows jumping is hard to process, and allowing creatures to jump multiple tiles would only make it harder.  What we have now is basically a placeholder.
