Journal of Althot Azethuth, vizier of the homeland

I know not the day, nor the season.

Every day here in Shurathut is the same - grey skies, cold weather, fending off the horde of undead that besiege us. I can bear it no longer. I have watched my comrades fall, one by one, to the undead invaders. Our home here in the Land of Destiny is not what is destined for the wights. We have sailed over a sea of blight to reach this new continent, and we will not give up yet.

Today, I am sending out 100 parties of convicts, the insane, and other undesirables to found forts in the name of our people. Most of them will fail, but if even one of the groups succeeds, perhaps we will have a new home.

On a related note, a new foul creature has been found here, similar to the horrors of the homeland. It decimated a team of our most elite soldiers, leaving only one alive. He told me that it moved with such speed that he barely saw it when it struck - he was already running away.

May the Creeping Shadow guide us, for it is clear that we are not capable of guiding ourselves.

It seems that one of the superfun modded megabeasts murdered a demon, conquered a goblin fortress, and proceeded to breach the caverns and murder the creatures there before it was finally put down by a Jabberer.

The homeland of my meager migrant group is based on an evil glacier. Pretty hardcore.

You should be the expedition leader. It's your fort, after all.

Apparently I have to regen the world because my wights don't have accessibility to picks.

And I thought copy-pasting was easy :S

Journal of Althot Azethuth, vizier of the homeland

Today will change everything. We have found a new land, The Momentous Planes, which will house our destiny. We have sent many migrants there, in hopes of escaping the undead horde that has amassed around us. One migrant group, however, stands above the rest. They are all hardened adventurers, ready to kill and die for us.

Blessings upon you, servants of Deathtrap.

Journal of Rethi-Eli

Early spring, 15th day of the 3rd moon

After 19 days of travel, we have arrived at Deathtrap, where we shall start a new era for our people!

We know not of what people are in the land around us, but if they know, they shall surely send a caravan and offer us peace. The land is barren and covered in snow, but we have found a hill to burrow into. Unfortunately, an oversight on the part of the vizier of Chainmaligned, the fortress from which we departed, left us without seeds nor an axe to cut down trees. Fortunately, we have our own materials to create our own tools out of, so we shall be able to carve out a home in this land.

Our standard, as chosen by the Pharaoh himself, depicts the appendages of the Creeping Shadow battling a great chaos horror, a beast from our homeland. Luckily, we've left chaos horrors behind us, but perhaps a greater threat awaits us in this forbidden land.

I shall write more in a few days, when we have a home carved in to the rock.

8 tame leopards
Well, everyone likes a walking handbag.

6 tame jaguars
Just in case the leopards go on strike, I suppose.

14 donkeys

MOTHER OF GOD, THESE FOUL BEASTS WILL DESTROY US ALL, HOW COULD YOU THINK IT WAS A GOOD IDEA TO BRING SUCH EVIL?

Journal of Rethi-Eli, Bringer of the Creeping Shadow

It seems that we may be in for a harsh year. The river that spans the land we are inhabiting has been bridged, and we are starting to smelt our gaullinite. The metal produced from this is not exactly of the highest quality, but iron is in high demand in the capital and steel is a precious resource. It will have to do.

We're in the process of building our trade depot - we heard that there may be a human settlement not far from our location. Protocol says that we are not to trade with either the dwarves nor the elves, but we may have to do so if we are unable to acquire enough wood and feral donkeys to guard our settlement.

I shall write more later. I need to finish building the trade depot.
