Probably better off asking in the mods forum for info on utilities. Therapist probably has it's own thread there somewhere.

Ew, that view looks like hairy dwarven ass, why would you want big chunky blocks, you can only see into the start of medical professions on the one pic!  That scrollbar is huuuge!  There are some grid settings you can play with in DT, cell sizes are probably there somewhere, or as Shonai said, there's a thread just for DT in the mods/utils section of the forums.

Not positive but you might be looking at two different versions made for different builds.

EDIT - I do not use Dwarf Therapist

I'm pretty sure Therapist's options include a setting for cell size somewhere. Cannot tell exactly where though, I'm not a home ATM.

Seems to be the way with things on this forum; if an invention doesn't involve death by magma then you know someone's going to go out of their way to make sure it does involve death by magma... then it gets acknowledged as being a great invention.

This is easy. Go to: Options > Click "Grid Options": AT the very bottom you may even choose the font, just click on "Change Font" You are able to customize everything there you want, even size of letters.

"Cell Padding" & "Cell Size" Is where you mat change the size and padding of the cells. I have mine set at 0px for padding and 30px for cellsize.

Padding is the spacing between cells. Though, I don't like to scroll very much so i kept it at 0px.

Hope this helps. As a person who had to put my face on the screen to see the jobs and letters and all that I understand how useful this is.

Here is how It looks for me. http://imgur.com/a/zkGh6

PS: the reason why all my dwarves are 20 is because I cheated as I wanted to learn how to play Masterwork without waiting so long to learn, this is allowing me to learn the game much faster so I can play without cheating without getting too frustrated to stop playing.
